Questions & Answers

For Bosch Oven Display Control Module (Part Number: OEM20933985)

1 Answer

Shirley, Based on your post information, we wouldn't expect the display module to be the problem. We would expect the "front panel", with the membrane switch/keypad assembly to be the issue. You didn't include the complete model number (ie: HEI8054U/07), so we're not sure which control panel you would need.

Gemma for Model Number HEI8054U

Was happy with this unit overall until the display panel would not light up and some of the oven functions did not work due to moisture issues from insufficient seal with the poor design from the top cooktop to to front panel. I believe that moisture gets inside the front panel from the cooktop if there is a water or some kind of moisture build-up which may seep past the sealant/gasket or whichever you may call it. has this design "flaw" been addressed as i am going to attempt to order the "$140" replacement part of 00758968 hoping this part will solve the issue of not having the display of the $1800 oven If this is the start of purchasing parts for this 500 pound paper-weight, do you have any other suggestions or recommendations.

Gemma, There has not been any service bulletins or service pointers on this issue. It would be recommended to check to make sure that the cooling fans are running but sounds likely it is just a bad board.

Tom, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control module with the display coming and going.
