Mark October 23, 2019 for Model Number HGI8054UC/05 Seems we had a power surge/outage mid-day about a week ago. The next morning we noted that the clock on the display panel was running slow. Later that night the display was completely blank/non-responsive. Confirmed power was good to the outlet...so it seems that the control panel is fried? Before I replace it with part: 00758968 , wanted to see if there's anything else it could be.
1 Answer Mark, The front panel is powered through a control board mounted on the back of the unit. You do have a schematic also mounted to the rear panel to help with terminal locations. If the control in the rear is sending voltage to the user interface then replace the user interface. No power from control in the rear then that board needs replaced. Unfortunately, we do not have a schematic of this unit to help with connector and pin locations. Read More...
Ed October 21, 2019 for Model Number AP5950840 What is the best way to separate the display module from the mounting bracket? Thanks
1 Answer Ed, with the power turned off to the unit, there will be 3 screws along the bottom that will need to be removed to allow the display module to swing slightly forward from the bottom and lift up. Read More...
Dan July 06, 2019 for Model Number HGI8054UC/07 water was splashed on the front panel,(control panel assy) worked that night but in the morning was flashing E305 and the 1-800 number to call bosch, they say it's a communication issue between display module and control panel, the display module still flashes the code when powered down and waiting, how do i know which one to replace? Or is it both? thanks, dan
1 Answer Dan, based on the information provided the most likely issue is going to be with the user interface panel assembly 11005330 as it more than likely has water creating a short circuit. To ensure that this has not caused any other issues, you may want to unplug the unit and inspect the control module 12012946 to ensure the circuit board has not been damaged. Read More...
Frank April 22, 2019 for Model Number bosch double wall oven hbl8650uc/10 The display has intermittently been going to setup mode. If you reset a few options like date and time and exit setup the oven works again. But it has been taking more and more tries to get out of setup mode. Now I cant exit setup at all. Is it a bad display module? Control board?
1 Answer Frank, There should be a tech sheet behind the control panel to get you into diagnostics and retrieve error codes. This would be a good starting point. Also kill power at the breaker and let the control reset so the user interface will allow you to do this. Read More...

Lost In Botched November 26, 2018 for Model Number HBL8751UCC/01 Bosch Built-in Microwave/Oven Combo: HBL8751UCC/01 FD 941000289 microwave display is now very dim. Purchased new June 2015. Service technician said it is control panel and that panel is no longer available. Will another panel work in this microwave or is the part actually available somewhere he didn't look? Same unit oven is overheating. Shows set temperature on oven panel but continues to heat until error code E115 appears and oven shuts down.
1 Answer Lost in Botched, here is the part number for the control display, 12029207 the error code may refer to an oven sensor that is not sending correct information to the main control, therefore allowing the oven to overheat. Check the oven sensor art room temperature, it should read about 1080 ohms of resistance, if it is off more than 10% you need to replace it. If it checks ok, it will need a new control board. 11020741 Read More...
Dave October 15, 2018 for Model Number HEI8054U I have a few of these ovens. On one the display has gone blank. The buttons function, and turn on the oven as they should, just no display. I have another oven, that occasionally does the same thing, and then when I cycle the power, it comes back. Any advice?
Dustin July 13, 2018 for Model Number HEI8054U We had an unattended pot boil over and dump a LOT of water all over the range. As a result, the display is dead. Additionally, the buttons seem to only work intermittently. I'm assuming from the other questions answered, that a replacement Display Module (AP5950840) is likely not going to fix this issue... so my question is, what will? I see that I can order an entire Front Panel (AP6030097)... does it include both a new Display Module and "button controller board"? Thanks for your assistance.
1 Answer Dustin, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control module which is part number 12026566. Read More...
Randy595 May 13, 2018 for Model Number HBL8751UCC/02 Bosch Built-in Combo: Microwave display is now very dim. Purchased new March 5, 2016. S/N FD 951000---. Purchased at Lowes with extended warranty. There were no Bosch Svc Reps in the area to fix this. I don't mind attempting it myself if this is the right part for this particular problem. Will Display Module AP5950840 fix this problem?
1 Answer Hello Randy, more than likely it will be a defective display module part number 12029207. Hope this helps! Read More...
Shirley February 15, 2018 for Model Number Bosch HEI8054 On the control panel, the numbers "2" and "4" for setting the temperature have quit working. All the other numbers work fine. Do you think that replacing the display module will correct the problem or could something else be causing this?
1 Answer Shirley, Based on your post information, we wouldn't expect the display module to be the problem. We would expect the "front panel", with the membrane switch/keypad assembly to be the issue. You didn't include the complete model number (ie: HEI8054U/07), so we're not sure which control panel you would need. Read More...
