For Bosch Washer Drain Pump (Part Number: OEM11994603)

Michael D for Model Number BOSCH WFK2401UC

My clothes are still wet after the spinning cycle and I receive the 03 error code. I have cleared all lint and scum out of the drain hoses and drain pipe to the wall exit (these had a fare amount of buildup). I have cleared out all of the scum and lint from the pea trap (which was filled with lint) just forward of the exit angle elbow pipe. I have checked for obstacles in the boot between the drum and the drain pump (none present). I have performed the Bosch Washer Test Program for all tests (#1 , 2, and 3 - All performed.). After a wash , I still receive the 03 error code. The drain pump does evacuate the water out of the bowl. However, the clothes are still wet and require that I move the selector to X and use the Drain cycle after each wash. I have checked the drain Pump trap and made sure that there was no foreign obstacles trapped (none present). After each wash and after I receive the 03 error code and after I have set the selector on X and exercised the Drain cycle and opened the washer and removed all of the clothes, I manually rotate the drum 6 to 10 times and receive a click or beep. I close the door and the door locks. I have to repeat the X Selection and set the cycle on Drain again and drain the drum. (Not sure if any water was evacuated.) I can perform these tasks successfully but still receive a new 03 error code. Is my Drain Pump marginally working and do I need to replace it? I see no other issues but may be missing something.

Michael, You will want to test the door lock on this unit as the ER 03 is an indication that the door lock cannot be locked. If the door lock checks ok then the issue will be in the control module. The unit will not spin properly if the door is not showing as locked.

Hello Jenna, I'm sorry but it appears that the drain pump for all of the associated models, (looked up about 10 models that began with the model number beginnings that you provided), has been dis-continued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided.
