Mark October 13, 2021 for Model Number SCD272TP Hi, This is a Thermador double wall oven. The upper oven will not heat up, but it will broil. I replaced the baking element, but no luck. It still will not heat. 1. Does this mean that the Relay Control Board is most likely the problem? 2. If so, my manual shows there are 2 Relay Boards (a "Main Power" board and a "2nd Power" board), how do I determine which one controls the upper oven or is the culprit? Thanks, Mark
1 Answer Mark, based on the information provided the bake relay of the main control has failed. Unfortunately, the control repair kit 00702451 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. Read More...
Chuck November 28, 2020 for Model Number Thermador SMW272ZP What part do I need to replace? The oven was set at 350 but it would only achieve 185 degrees. Should I replace the heating element or is there something else I should consider? Oven is 18 yrs old. Thank you
1 Answer Chuck, It would be recommended to check to see if the heating elements are getting 240 Vac. If there is proper power then the element is faulty and would need to be replaced. If there is no proper power then it will likely be the relay control board. Read More...
Devita June 21, 2020 for Model Number SC272TS Hello I have a Thermador double wall oven and need the heating element for the bottom oven and Im missing a stainless steel kick plate that goes to the bottom of this oven When I turn it on I can feel cool air flowing on my feet . please provide me with the correct model numbers for these items.
1 Answer Devita, the bake element for this model is part number 00367649 for the lower oven. The bottom of this unit is only going to utilize a trim piece 00486325 as the bottom needs to remain open to allow airflow to pass through. This allows the blower fans to keep the control boards as cool as possible during operation. Read More...
