Denise G. December 30, 2016 for Model Number SC302TW Thermador has discontinued the production of the specific hinge that I need to replace on my wall oven. Here are the particulars: Model # SC302TW Serial # 20060546 Hinge part: 00414511 Hinge pocket: 00142743 Will you please suggest an alternative door spring that will work with my unit. While the hinge definitely needs replacing, the technician here in town thinks that the hinge pockets ought to also be checked while the oven door is taken apart. I see that this hinge has some history of failing for Thermador users, so hopefully the company has remedied this situation by offering an alternative to the 00414511. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Denise, I'm sorry but this part 00414511 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Rusty November 22, 2016 for Model Number NEW THERMADOR HINGE PART NUMBER 00414511 OR 414511 It seems impossible to find this hinge anywhere. Is there another hinge that I can use in its place. It seems crazy to have to replace a $4000 appliance because of a $100 part
1 Answer Hello Rusty. Sorry, this part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
John November 23, 2015 for Model Number Thermador SC272TS Since the 00414511 hinge is no longer made I was looking for possible replacements. The design of the AP3196146 hinge looks identical. Is this simply the updated version of the same spring? Is there any reason to expect it would not work on the Wall oven we have?

Bruce C. February 02, 2013 for Model Number Thermador Built-in Electric Oven SCD302TP The springs on my oven have lost their tension and the doors will not completely close. I understand that there is now a door hinge with a stronger hinge available. One of the on line suppliers recommended the new hinge with a stronger spring that is Thermador #414511. Is that the correct stronger spring hinge that I need?
1 Answer Hello Bruce, The "stronger" spring 00414511 is the one listed for the stainless door. The stainless door is normally heavier that the enameled doors so they take a stronger spring to support the additional weight of the heavier material. Of course if the problem still exists after the hinge replacement, the issue could be either the hinge receptacle 00414510 or the door liner 00470538. You can check the door liner by opening the door and laying a yard stick on the door liner from top to bottom. It should lay flat. If it rocks, the door liner is where you are getting the slack.
