Ted February 17, 2014 for Model Number PRSE364GLS last time I posted the question:" "The rear two burners sparks on and off continuously without turn on any control knob. (all 4 control nobs set on "OFF" position.) I have to disconnect the power to shut it off. Please advise. (nothing wrong with burners, everyone works.) Ted for Model Number PRSE364GLS ANSWER Hello Ted. It sounds like the spark switch for one of the burner valves is bad and will need to be replaced. Mel January 14, 2014 for Model Number Bosch PGL 985UC Gas cooktop When turning on the largest burner, it clicks but takes a few seconds (sometime not at all) to ignite. Do I need a new electrode head or a complete Ignition Plug Assembly?
1 Answer Hello Mel. Try cleaning the burner and burner head real good. If dirty, it will cause the condition you are having. Read More...
Katie October 16, 2013 for Model Number Thermador rdss30qw I just replaced the timer/led control box. I can now read the led, it had dimmed almost completely. Everything works except the 2 left burners, they do not ignite, no spark sound. The right side works fine. I took the front panel off again to see if there were any pinched wires, and made sure the connections were all tight. Any suggestions? Also, how do you lift the stove cover?
1 Answer Hello Katie, This sounds like the start switches to those surface burners have failed. Thermador calls these potentiometers. The part number is 00497235. This has been made into a kit so you will only need to order one. This includes two potentiometers and a new spark module. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Laurie. You have to remove the venturi out of the star burner and then you can lift off the burner form the unit. Read More...
Marie June 06, 2013 for Model Number SGC365RS The Ignition plug appears to be loose and I am unable to tighten it. When I turn on the burner I smell gas and it clicks, but it does not ignite the flame. Do I need a new ignition plug assembly or another part. And how do I replace the new part.?
1 Answer Hello Marie, This is either going to be the ignitor (AP2838563) or the ignitor wire set (AP2825683). Read More...

Randy April 16, 2013 for Model Number PRG364GD Have problem with one burner. It lights, but only stays lit for 1-2 minutes, then goe out. It then starts sparking but does not relight. Also, it won't light at all if the oven has been on. What do you suggest?
1 Answer Hello Randy, Clean around the ignitor where the spark should jump across. You can accomplish this satisfactorily using hot water and white vinegar mixed 50///50, and an old toothbrush. I never recommend to use sandpaper because of the wear caused on the burner by the sandpaper. Read More...
Stacey March 04, 2013 for Model Number Thermador number PCS366US My back burner had no gas going to it anymore and all my burners click when I turn one on.
1 Answer Hello Stacey, To remove a gas valve: A) Remove the spark switch or potentiometer, then remove the two screws from the clamp and remove the valve. B) Install the spark switch or potentiometer on the new gas valve and reconnect the wires, then mount the gas valve to the manifold with the clamp and two screws. C) Check the new connections for leaks using a soap/water solution. Never check for leaks with an open flame. Mix the solution with no more than one teaspoon of liquid soap to a quart of water. If you check your e-mail trash folder, you will find illustrated instructions that your e-mail account kicked back to me as "permanently un-deliverable". Read More...
Tom February 07, 2013 for Model Number Thermador cooktop gg30 I have received part number 189324 & 189322 but can't figure out how to install them. It is a glass cooktop and I can remove the igniter from the top but when I put the clip on the burner it does not allow the burner to fit tightly to the stove top so that gas leaks out and ignites. Do I need to put the clip below the cooktop surface? And if so how do I lift the cooktop surface? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tom, You may be able to remove the burner plate in order to get the clip in place. Unfortunately we do not have instructions on how to remove. Read More...
