Michael B. May 06, 2016 for Model Number Thermador 48" dual oven 6 burner gas range The spark igniter on the left hand side (small oven) oven will not spark when dial is set to Bake. Gas (natural gas) does flow out of gas burner tube as it normally would when dial is turned to Bake setting. I switched spark igniter from the large oven to the small oven and it did not spark (spark igniter from small oven does work on large oven) so we can rule out the spark igniter. This Thermador unit does not have the standard looking blue spark igniter modules for the ovens as it does for the range top igniters. Which module do I need for the left oven spark igniter? Thank you Thermador professional 48" dual gas oven, 6 gas burner range with electric griddle. 2008 year, no model number any were on the unit.
1 Answer Hello Michael, You will need to pull the panel below the oven doors off to expose the model number on most of these units. Some will have an I.D. tag under the cooking surface. This can be caused by a thermostat, solenoid, gas valve, relay, or harness issue. For a more detailed diagnosis and specific part numbers we will require a model number. I'm sorry but you will need to locate the units' I.D. tag before we can recommend a part for the unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Pat March 06, 2014 for Model Number GCV36GS Thermador gas range GCV36GS with 4 burners. When turning on the left rear burner, a continuous clicking occurs as the igniter attempts to light the front burner. On the right side of the range top, I have to manually light the front burner, and once lit, the igniter continues to click non-stop. (The left side rear burner lights properly with no continuous clicking.)
1 Answer Hello Pat, This will be the ignitor 00414584, the ignitor wire (comes with the ignitor), or a dropped ground to the right front burner. Read More...
Scott January 20, 2014 for Model Number PRG366EG I added this to a previous post but since I can't find it, I will ask. I have a Thermador gas range PRG366eg and the oven won’t light, gas comes on, but no spark on the igniter. I took it out and it looks fine, clean and no corrosion. I tested it for resistance and it has 0 ohms. I think that it should have some resistance, so I assume it is bad and needs replaced. Does this seem right? While checking the oven I tested the broiler and now have a question on the broiler. When I light it, it looks like the ignitor coils do not shut off even after reaching broil temp, 600 degrees. They still glow orange. Shouldn’t they shut off? Do I have a different problem?
1 Answer Scott, The igniter should have resistance and if it does not then the igniter is bad. The igniter will stay lit until it reaches temperature as it is suppling power to the gas valve Read More...

I did shut power off at the breaker and even the whole house to do a reset but still the same results.
1 Answer Hello Scott. No, there should be no resistance on the igniter. It should read closed for continuity. If the wiring is good, replace the spark module. Read More...
