Robert February 26, 2019 for Model Number SGCS365RS I have a Thermador SGCS365RS serial number 97060101. Will the potentiometer 422748 work with the original simmer control unit SQ003? Thank you.
1 Answer Robert, the potentiometer for your model is going to be part number [00422749]. Read More...
Robert February 26, 2019 for Model Number SGCS365RS I have a Thermador SGCS365RS serial number 97060101. Which potentiometer do I need? Is it 422748 or 422749? And, do I need the kit with both potentiometers and a simmer control or can I just replace the one bad potentiometer? Thanks.
Ted September 22, 2018 for Model Number PCS364GDUS Will the new potentiometers, p/n 422748, work with an "old" simmer module, p/n 422882?
Len August 24, 2018 for Model Number PSC486GLZS I need to replace the potentiometer on my Thermador cooktop. The serial no is 39303008091600010 if you need it. The simmer controller model is SQ005, part no. 5060001713. Can you tell me the potentiometer that works with this simmer controller? Thanks, Len
Peterd August 08, 2018 for Model Number Thermador PC484WKBS Before the left simmer burners stopped working, the left front one would occasionally spark with none of the burners on, and with an occasional loud click (I'm guessing the solenoid for that burner in action?). Would that tend to confirm that the potentiometer is at fault?
Peterd August 04, 2018 for Model Number Thermador PC484WKBS The left two burners on my Thermador professional cooktop stopped working recently, no spark, no gas. I've tried replacing the Gas Simmer Controller, but that didn't help. I'm guessing that I need to replace the potentiometers, but the question is how to get at them? The front panel appears to have screws attaching it from the rear, with the screw heads mostly hidden by the sheet metal forming the sides of the unit.
1 Answer Peterd, The access for the control panel underneath that would be removed. The unit will need to be removed from installation. Read More...
John July 11, 2018 I have a Thermador PCS 364 GD US. Right 2 burners work great. Left 2 won't come on or let gas through. I assume i need the 00189816 but its discontinued. Will the Bosch AP3782975 work?
Carlos April 19, 2018 for Model Number PRG364GDUS/01 The far left knob that controls the rear burner is loose. The burners on the left light fine but neither work on XLO simmer. Thermador tech was here looking at something else, and although he didn't open up the range, said I would need a new potentiometer assembly, but that the parts were no longer available. Can you please advise the correct parts that need to be ordered? From what I can see it would be the Switch Resistor Potentiometer (422748), but not sure what else? Would that alone fix the loose knob or does the valve stem also have to replaced?
1 Answer Carlos, The part number for the potentiometer will be 00422748 and for the knob issue sounds like just the knob but take the knob off and make sure that the shaft is loose. Read More...
Rich January 18, 2018 I own a Thermador Range (Model RDSS30) where the Front Left XLO Burner does not work but the Rear Left XLO Burner works fine. I get spark to the burner but no gas so assuming I need a new Potentiometer for the front left only as the rear left works fine. The Gas Simmer Controller model is SQ003-H but does not have an A or B suffix after the H like I have seen in the Thermador Service Bulletins or on-line. Can I purchase the #422748 Potentiometer and have it work with my current Simmer Controller?
1 Answer Rich, You will want to check the gas coil to make sure that it is getting power and is not bad. If this checks ok then the issue will be the potentiometer and 00422748 will be correct for your unit. Read More...
Jmac December 19, 2017 I have a Thermador Stove. I can't remember the part number. The XLo burners on the left side aren't working. Had a technician come and look at it and I need a Thermador part number 00422882 to fix it. I can't seem to find that number anywhere. Is there another part that would fix this? I think it's a simmer controller for the stove. Is there a potentiometer repair kit, or similar, I can buy to fix this?
1 Answer Jmac, Unfortunately the simmer control has been discontinued with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
