Dan Lew May 03, 2022 for Model Number Thermador PRDS366US My left 2 burners no longer turn on. Upon opening up the control panel, I noticed that one of my potentiometers (part 20-01-872-01) is fried and there is corrosion on the 5-pin PCB board connector. I can locate the part, but I cannot locate the connector. Do you have it or can you point me to a source for one? Thanks.
1 Answer Dan, Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the connectors or the wire harness for this potentiometer kit. Try cleaning with contact cleaner and see if the connector is damaged or just had corrosion on it. Read More...
Jeffrey September 16, 2021 for Model Number PRG486JDG/03 I have a XLO burner in left rear that while trying to use started attempting to ignite/spark but was unsuccessful but continued to spark. There was no gas coming out so it never lit and now the burner at front left started to spark at igniter as if it was trying to start but it already had a flame. Is this common and if so, what parts do I need?
1 Answer Jeffrey, with the gas supply turned off and the left burner and top panel removed, the solenoid 00423093 for the left rear burner would need to be tested for 110VDC. If there is voltage, the solenoid has failed and would need to be replaced. If not, the simmer controller 00619016 would need to be replaced. In regards to the left front continuously sparking, if the burner head is thoroughly clean the failure would likely be in the ignition device 00619017. Read More...

Susan November 26, 2020 for Model Number PRG364GLUS Hello. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I have a Thermador PRG364GLUS 36 inch Gas Range. The two left burners just fully stopped working last week, (no gas and no spark) and the "burner on (red) light" will not turn off unless I unplug full electrical power. The bbq in the middle, the two right burners, and the oven work perfectly. I was told I need part number 00497235 (potentiometer and simmer control kit) and that part I cannot find/no longer manufactured/not findable online. I'm completely stuck. I don't know what to do, I don't know if there are compatible replacement part/parts to buy. I don't want to buy a new range (very expensive) but I am stuck with what to do. I really want to fix this/have it fixed. If you could advise or help me I will send Christmas presents to everybody there!!!!
1 Answer Susan, unfortunately, as the potentiometer kit 00497235 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, we would not be able to recommend an alternative. Read More...
Stella August 05, 2020 for Model Number SGCS304RB The left two burners (XLO) have no sparks and no gas. I can't light it manually. What could be wrong? The simmer control or the potentiometer? And is there a way to check? Thanks.
1 Answer Stella, The fact that both of the left burners are not doing anything would be an indication that the potentiometers are most likely faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Antonie Z March 05, 2020 for Model Number RD SS 30 QBBK Thermador gas range slide in The two extra-low burners on this Thermador gas range do not light with the spark. The Bosch replacement kit is no longer available. Is there an alternative way to make these burners functional again? Please advise. With appreciation, A.Z.
1 Answer Antonie, If it is just the potentiometer that is needed then you would use part number 00422748. If the simmer control is needed, it has been discontinued and there is no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Xiaogang November 30, 2019 for Model Number Thermador gas stove,SGCS304RS I need to replace one of the potentiometer of my Thermador gas stove,SGCS304RS. Dan September 17, 2019 for Model Number Thermador range PG366BS/05 Does the Potentiometer also control the spark ignitor for the oven?
1 Answer Dan, the oven control 00709785 would receive the oven operation input from the oven selector 00623837 and would receive the temperature selection from the potentiometer 00624610. Read More...
Michael Keaton August 18, 2019 for Model Number RDFS30RS I have a Thermador RDFS30RS. One of the simmer burners does not light. When I turn the burner on, all other burners spark but this one. I can light this burner with a match, so it is getting gas. All other burners work as expected.
1 Answer Michael, With only one burner not lighting it could be the potentiometer. You can move one that lights to the burner valve in question and see if it sparks. If it still does not light then the spark module itself would need to be replaced. It would depend upon if it has a potentiometer or a spark switch. 00753257 is the spark module 00497235 is the potentiometer and is not available 00189008 is the spark switch Read More...
