Bill for Model Number Shu66c02

My program buttons are falling out. Ordered 3 extras when I ordered my replacement soap dispenser from APP (great service btw). I discovered my program buttons are falling out due to the poor design of the fascia panel. The tiny tab that anchors the bottom of the button to the fascia snapped. I love APP but, I refuse to pay $50 for this crappy design. Is there any handyman type fix to this problem. I'm thinking of trying to silicone or glue the bottoms in. Would appreciate any suggestions

Hello Bill. There is no way of securing the buttons like that because they have to move to press the switches on the unit. Usually there is no issue with these buttons falling out, unless the fascia tab is broken. Since we do not manufacture the parts, we have no control over the design. I would suggest replacing the fascia myself on the unit.

Dan, Here are the basic instructions for accessing the control module on your dishwasher. " ??Remove fascia panel by removing six (6)T-20 Torx inner door screws. Disconnect wire harnesses from module after noting connector locations. ??Remove fascia panel from console by removing four (4) T-20 Torx screws. ??Remove two (2) T-20 Torx screws holding module to console. ??Carefully pry back locking tabs on each front corner of module, then remove module from console. Remove button pad from module. " Thanks and Good Luick

Hello Bobby. If you have a stuck button on this unit, your first step would be to disassemble the control panel. If the button has gotten some debris behind it, you may be able to blow it out with some compressed air. If the button plastic is broken, you can replace the unit. That part is 00266746. I hope this info helps.

Hello Brayden. Yes, you will need to gain access to the inside of the control panel to snap this back into place. You will need to check and see if the inside of the control panel is broken, allowing the button to fall out. Hope this helps.
