Cooper S August 23, 2024 Hi, I have a Thermador DWHD770WPR giving an error code E18. It started giving this after we swapped out our leaking hot water tank for a new one. I've checked the inlet hose for kinks, unplugged the dishwasher for hours, run the faucet, and have confirmed that hot water is reaching the dishwasher by manually opening the inlet valve with 120VAC. When I turn on the unit, it immediately errors E18. Could the valve be the issue? Any suggestions? Thanks.
1 Answer Cooper S, Thermador's error code E18 - Means: The water level is too low, or water is not being pumped correctly. 1. Check the inlet hose and make sure it isn't kinked or damaged. 2. Make sure the water supply is turned on. The water flow rate is too low. Read More...
Anthony V January 11, 2024 for Model Number she3arf5uc/07 getting error e01 and not draining completely
1 Answer Anthony V, Bosch dishwasher error code E01 usually refers to a failure of the main control board. The E01 cade usually refers to the pump control circuit of the main control board. On some models, this issue can cause a lack of water in the machine which triggers the heater to stop and throws the error code. 00705047 main control board Read More...
Allens December 07, 2023 I need a replacement for a water inlet valve. I bought one from Amazon but the prongs for the wire connection are wide and long. The old valve shows C-255/15-B11 33299019 120v 60hz 9000944818 which shows short conracts for the wire connector to fit. Is this model still available?
1 Answer Allens, if the model number of your appliance could be provided in a new question, this will allow the most accurate information to be presented. Read More...
Jeff C January 02, 2022 for Model Number SHE3AR55UC/08 My dishwasher has a slow leak causing water to accumulate over time at the base. I finally found the leak is from the left side of the machine, thru the cover (0318 on the diagram). What part or parts do I need to replace to stop this leak (cover, seal, water inlet housing, water inlet valve)? Thank you for your help.
1 Answer Jeff, Usually the problem is the water inlet valve 00622058 is not opening enough for the water to flow into the machine and ends up leaking into the base. Read More...
Sharon June 24, 2021 for Model Number Thermador DWHD650JFP/80 - Bosch 9000438799 Error E16 some cycle selections allows it to run a full cycle, leaving clean water in bottom of DW. It will drain out upon restart. other cycle selections will shut down even before the soap dispenser opens. Same E16 error. There are no kinks, or blockages. So I assume replace the intake valve. Any other suggestions?
1 Answer Sharon, with the water drained out of the bottom of the sump of the dishwasher, it would be recommended that the unit is left overnight and the water level checked in the morning to identify if the water valve 00674387 is allowing water to leak by. Read More...
Rich December 06, 2020 for Model Number SHE55M16UC/64 Not getting water during cycle so I'm thinking it's the water inlet valve. Only thing is the unit doesn't stop running when the door is opened nor when I cancel the cycle and the timer goes to zero. It stops when I push the on/off button again. Would a bad valve cause all of this?
1 Answer Rich, you may have more than one issue. First, remove the kickplate and lower access panel and check for water or moisture in the base of the dishwasher, then check the float, float lever 00263123, and float shaft 00263122 and make sure the lever and shaft aren't stuck or damaged and there's no water in the base. Then remove the dishwasher and check the wiring and condition of the float assembly 00440670, if any one of these components is faulty, this will cause the drain pump to run constantly as long as the machine is "on" " the unit doesn't stop running when the door is opened nor when I cancel the cycle and the timer goes to zero". Then check or replace the water inlet valve if needed. Thanks, Read More...
Lara May 26, 2020 for Model Number SHE3AR56UC/12 When my dishwasher is on, the water doesn't spray out the arms, it just drips out. Is it a pump issue? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Lara, This can be caused by stopped up filters or a circulation pump 00705174 issue. Read More...
L.D.P. February 26, 2020 for Model Number SHE55M12UC164 Around Xmas, I started my Bosch dishwasher before going to bed and when I woke up, it was still "running." It was humming but I believe was showing "0" on the timer. I opened it and could tell it had not washed the dishes although the soap door had opened up (and the soap chunk was still in it.) I couldn't get it to start filling with water. When troubleshooting it later, I saw someone online mentioned testing it with a gallon of water to see if it would run or drain. Much to my surprise, it started running like normal. It's been running perfectly until today (2/26). (I run it only a couple times/wk). My gallon of water trick did not resolve the issue this time. I did try waiting a few hours in case it needed to "cool down" (if some sort of overheating shutoff exists.) One thing I've noticed since I got it running again after Xmas is a mechanical smell. Not an over burning from what I can tell, just the smell of a "machine." Observations (most are similar to what was happening at Xmas): - It's not filling with water but hums. I can't tell if it's a draining hum or just the sound it makes when the cycle is running. - It continues to hum when I open the door, which is odd; normally opening the door shuts it off. (I can make it stop by resetting it and powering it off.) - When doing the gallon test this time, it drains immediately and completely (from what I can see.) There have been no draining issues while it's been working. - I don't have a visible float switch so I can't easily troubleshoot that to see if it's sticking. - There's no error code. I tried to find the method for running a diagnostic to obtain an error code but couldn't find one that worked for my model and the owner's manual does not speak on the topic. - Today, it again did not run at all. The soap door opened but the soap chunk was still intact. - Today, I started it at noon and realized at 4 pm it was still "running" (humming). It was showing 1 min left and had to be reset for it to clear the screen. 1 min left is possibly a drain error code? - Power and water are getting to the machine. I thought I had narrowed it down to either a faulty 1) water inlet valve or 2) float switch, but after reading other postings, esp with the "1 min left" indicator, could it be the control panel? I'm hoping the fact that I got it running again after filling it with the gallon of water at Xmas plus the mechanical smell might be clues to what is the root cause. Thank you
1 Answer Hello L.D.P., This sounds like the flood switch has been activated. The drain pump will run constantly, even with the door opened, because the dishwasher thinks the fill valve is stuck in the opened position. This will make it sound like it is running when the drain pump is the only thing running. You will need to remove the water valve and use the opening to clear the water from inside the base. Do this by using a towel with no fabric softener in it to wick the water from the bottom of the base. Use a screwdriver to push the towel down to the bottom to wick the water out. You will then need to replace the water valve 00622058 to prevent the problem from recurring. Read More...
