Tim, The most likely cause for this issue will be a faulty relay board. The part number for the board will be 62692 and unfortunately has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available.

Tammi for Model Number CPS127

I have a dacor glass front "Convection Plus" wall oven that is not coming on. When the bake, conv. bake or broil button is pushed a preheat temp comes on in the display for only a few seconds before the whole thing shuts off. It is at least 10 years old and possibly even a 1994 model. I don't want to waste my time with a repairman and fee if the control board is so old that it's unavailable. Do you know if the board is available and cost? I'm trying to estimate what a repair or new control board would be versus just buying a cheap, new wall oven. I believe it is a Single Electric, model no. CPS127

Rich for Model Number MOH2275

Oven displayed U43 relay board message. Cut off power; when turned it back on, message had disappeared, and oven was able to start heating (unresponsive when message was up). After 15 minutes, there was a strange rattling sound and the oven lights began to flicker. Then a U60 oven cooling fan message appeared. Have you ever seen a fan failure cause a relay board message? Trying to figure out where to start and whether this will be a large or minor repair. Thanks in advance.

1 Answer

Rich, It is very possible that the cooling fan could cause the U43 error message. If the cooling fan is not circulating the heat properly it can cause the board to overheat and cause this type of error.

Debbie, You would want to first try to disconnect power to the unit for about 30 minutes to let the control board reset itself. Reconnect power and see if the error code returns. If the error returns you would need part number DE81-09742A. Unfortunately we do not have any technical information on this unit to be able to assist with replacement but should just be a matter of removing the control panel to access the relay board.
