The Oven Control Board is an OEM part compatible with Frigidaire ovens and ranges. It is the main circuit board that controls all functions of the oven such as temperature settings, timing, display illumination, and modes like bake, broil, and convection. Note: This part doesn’t include the overlay piece. You will need to purchase the overlay separately.

Symptoms of a bad control board include:

  • The display not lighting up or working properly
  • Inability to change temperature or time settings
  • Oven not heating up or baking evenly
  • Unexpected buzzing or clicking sounds

Causes of a bad control board are often related to normal wear and tear over time. As a critical electronic component, control boards can malfunction even with light-to-moderate use of the oven.

It is compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, and Kenmore models with the same control board.

Dorothy, You will need to check to see if there is power coming off the control board to the light when the light button is selected. If there is power at the control board and at the light then the bulb is either burnt out or the socket is faulty and needing replaced.

Hello Sara, I'm sorry but there is no such thing as an oven that maintains a constant temperature. The bake compartment temperature is controlled by the control circuit turning the heat source on and off at two predetermined temperatures. This causes an "average" bake temperature to be set up in the bake compartment. The range varies from oven to oven but the average range is about 50°, (25° above the set temperature and 25° below). To get an accurate reading of the average bake temperature, you have to take readings at the high temperature and low temperature through at least 4 cycles of the heating element/burner. It does not sound like there is an issue with your unit from the description provided.

Juan, It would be recommended to check the wiring between the terminal block and the board and check for power supply issues when there is a load on the board.

Hello Sharon, If the proper voltage (240Vac) has been verified to the unit and no terminals on the terminal block are loose or burned, the first thing you should verify is the resistance of the oven sensor. The oven sensor should have a resistance of 1090 ohms at 77 degrees and would add 2 ohms for every 1 degree of temperature increase. If this is good you will need to test it again but this time from the board, through the harness to ensure the harness is good. If still good, you will need to replace the control board 316418540 since the issue will be narrowed down to one of the relays on the board.

Barry, you will need to check the element with voltage on, you should read 240 volts at both leads with the oven on, if you do not read 240 volts, you will need to replace the main EOC control board, part number is 318010700
