The Oven Control Board is an OEM part compatible with Frigidaire ovens and ranges. It is the main circuit board that controls all functions of the oven such as temperature settings, timing, display illumination, and modes like bake, broil, and convection. Note: This part doesn’t include the overlay piece. You will need to purchase the overlay separately.

Symptoms of a bad control board include:

  • The display not lighting up or working properly
  • Inability to change temperature or time settings
  • Oven not heating up or baking evenly
  • Unexpected buzzing or clicking sounds

Causes of a bad control board are often related to normal wear and tear over time. As a critical electronic component, control boards can malfunction even with light-to-moderate use of the oven.

It is compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, and Kenmore models with the same control board.

Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Oven Control Board (Part Number: OEM13763226)

Sherry, Does the broil element work and heat? If it does, then you'll need to check the wiring between the bake element and the ERC/Clock. If all are OK then the bake relay in the control has failed and is not supplying the L1 Voltage(120 VAC) to the element. You would need to replace the 316557118/316557118 Clock/Timer, electronic, ES305 and we would recommend you replace the 316419141/316352004 Overlay, clock, black, ES305 at the same time(it will make the repair a bit easier, and more pleasing visually). Thanks,

My oven does not come up to temperature. I have to set it for 50+ degrees above the desired temperature and use a freestanding oven thermometer to know the temperature. I manually adjust the temperature by watching the thermometer. We have replaced the oven probe. Do I need to replace the control board? All controls work from the control board otherwise, and I am not getting any flashing or codes. I also notice that items closer to the sides of the oven tend to cook faster.

1 Answer

Marge, Check to make sure that the wiring between the board and the sensor are good and if they are then the oven control board would need to be replaced.

I have purchased a used Frigidaire/Electrolux gas stove. I can not get the broiler to work or the oven light when using the pad board. The oven light will come on when the door is opened. It seems that the previous owner ( a police station) set the stove up on favorite settings for the oven. Push favorite setting then 1 then enter temp and time. That is the only function I can use along with the burners. The convection bake and roast doesn't work either and actually I can't just hit bake time to start baking, I have to go through favorite setting. Help.

Jimmy, based on the information provided, the control keys are non-responsive. This would indicate a control board 316418701 failure. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued this board and it is no longer available.

I have a Kenmore electric oven. Recently it starting flashing an F10 code. I unplugged it and let it sit for a few minutes and the code cleared. I turned the oven back on and it appeared to heat up. It seemed to be in pre heat for a long time and when I opened the oven door to check it there seemed to be a weird smell. From the research I have done it seems to usually be the temperature sensor or the oven control board. Could it actually be the heating element? What do you think?

1 Answer

Ricky, the heating elements can ground out and cause a runaway condition. This can be tested by accessing them from the back and testing each terminal to ground/chassis. If there is continuity, then the element has grounded out and would need to be changed. The sensor probe 316490000 can be an issue and it can be tested for resistance. The sensor probe should measure 1100O of resistance at room temperature. If these check good, then the main control would be the likely item to have failed. Unfortunately, the main control 316557108 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.
