James December 29, 2012 for Model Number kenmore 417.44052401 The machine completes the wash cycle properly, except the final spin. It pumps out the tub but will not spin. I checked for error codes and it had code 43, board communication problem. The listed solution is to replace control board, but I also ran the diagnostic routine and in that mode everything functioned correctly including the high speed spin test do you have any idea what is meant by communication problem. Could that just be a bad connection. Do you know why the high speed spin won't fuction durring the wash cycle but will in the diagnostic mode?
1 Answer Hello James, Yes, the communication issue could be from a bad connection in which you would want to check all connectors. I am showing that the E43 error code is an indication that there is a Main control board problem and you would want to replace the main control if the problem persists. Sometimes the unit will operate properly during the diagnostics because you don't have a load on it. When you put the load on it then it has trouble communicating. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Michael, The first thing you need to check is the door switch 131763256.
