Brenda for Model Number FDB1050REB2

I have to manually reset the dishwasher after each wash by flipping the breaker. ALL the lights are flashing!!! Nothing changes whne I puch the buttons, turn the know or open/shut the door. The latch is good, I cleaned the drain area, shut the breaker off for 45 mins..nothing helps. What do I need to replace? In another post it was suggested the control panel, then yet another states it is an issue with the heater and the thermostat. I am handy enough to do either, I just hate to spend $ on the wrong thing. Thanks for you time!

Hi Jd. The heating element is part # 154665201. The thermostat is part # 154290204. The heating element nut is part # 154106202. If these parts are "open" in the circuit then you will have this symptom. Is your incoming water at the sink at least 120 degrees or more? The "timer" will stall and use the heater to raise the tub temperature (if you use heated dry) to 145 or more depending on the options selected. So if it cannot reach temperature then it will remain on wash "green" light flashing. Thank you.

Hello Chip. You can unplug the machine for about 15 to 30 minutes to reset the board. If the problem continues after the reset, you may have a bad control module. Hope this helps.
