Adiyer March 14, 2015 for Model Number Part # AP5690408 (or 5304491584) I got smoke from the Compressor Controller (216649313), when removing it there is a burn/melt spot on the bottom of it. So I ordered Part # AP5690408 (or 5304491584) to replace it, although it looks different. My wires are Yellow and White coming from the freezer and I do not know which wire should go to which terminal on the new controller. The new controller does not have any label for N or L like in the old part, it's impossible to tell which terminal is which. There's a big green dot on the side of the new controller but I am not sure what that means. Please help.
1 Answer Hello ADIYer, The hot wire will connect to the connection furthest from the edge of the device, (closer to the center). The neutral connects the connection beside the edge. Stefan December 01, 2014 for Model Number FFU14M2AW0 Hello, Smoke arises from the Compressor Controller (216649313), when removing it there is a burn/melt spot on the bottom of it. 1 Answer Stefan, Unfortunately we do not have the instructions for the part available. This is not a difficult repair and you should be able to do it. The instructions are basically that you would cut the original wires and connect the new harness to adapt the new relay. One thing that you will want to keep in mind, on the new relay there is a N and a L stamped by the terminals. Connect the new harness then look at the stamping and the wire that is connected to N will be your neutral. Based on the wiring diagram this wire that will connect to the Neutral will be white and the wire that will connect to L (Which is Line power) will be blue. Read More...

I took a temperature reading inside the freezer and it was 20 degrees Fahrenheit. But all our food was soft and thawed. So what do you think could be the problem. Thanks for your help again.
1 Answer Sergio, You will want to check to see if there is frost on the evaporator coils. If there is impacted frost on the coils then the unit has a defrost system failure and you will want to you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. 1 Answer Jacqueline, There should be 2 terminals listed on the controller 1 will be listed with a L next to it which will take the Yellow wire and the one with the N is the white wire.
