Sean September 11, 2014 for Model Number E23CS75DSS1 Had a bad thunderstorm a week ago and when I woke up the next morning my Electrolux Refrigerator was not working and freezer thawed. I attempted the reset the unit but only the fan runs and shortly after replugging in the Frig, I hear a "click" noise that seems to restrict power that prevents the Frig from operating normal. Best analogy....it's like a GFCI outlet in a wall always trips when something is plugged in. That is how my Frig is acting. Do you think I need a Controller Tsd? Thank You
1 Answer Sean, With the unit making a clicking noise, if the fans are operating but the unit not cooling then the most likely cause of failure would be the controller/start relay 241511101 on your compressor. If the fans are also not operating then it sounds like the control board 241511101 would be the issue. Read More...
Ken H. September 10, 2014 for Model Number FRS26LH5DS4 In the part that was sent to me the capacitor fits but the connections of red and blue wires to the controller are different size. I was advised "The capacitor will slide down over the shaft and plug into the 2 slots and the wires will connect on the terminals. The Red wire will attach to the terminal labeled "L", and the Blue wire will attach to the terminal labeled "N". The connecters on the wires are much wider than their corresponding tabs on the controller. Wrong part? Wrong design on the new part? Or can I just replace the connections on the wire? Or I could try a replacement on the controller.
1 Answer Hello Ken, You may have to crimp on new connectors but the part is what the manufacturer is calling for on your model. Read More...
Mark August 19, 2014 for Model Number FRS26LH5DS0 Looking to replace two parts for this Frigidaire Refrigerator. The first is a capacitor run and it cross references to your part AP5270384. However, the second is what is listed on your diagram for this model as F30, Controller TSD; PN AP5306469. When I look at the diagram. When I click on that part, it doesn't exactly look the same? Wire connections are in a different location? The original part number appears to be 213615005. Any help please? Thanks
1 Answer Mark, Even though the connector is located in a different spot, the controller 297237702 is the correct part needed. The capacitor will slide down over the shaft and plug into the 2 slots and the wires will connect on the terminals. Read More...
Larry August 17, 2014 for Model Number ED5LVAXVQ00 My freezer doesn't freeze and my refrig doesn't cool . I replaced the run capasitor and now I want to replace the start relay part # 241527803. Do you think this is the right way to go? I also replaced the thermostat.
1 Answer Hello Larry. Yes, if the compressor is not running and there is power to it. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jimmy P June 15, 2014 for Model Number plhs269zcb4 I have a 10yr old Frigidaire Refrigerator model # plhs269zcb4 that stopped cooling. Compressor will not kick on, fan is blowing over the coils sounds like the relay is clicking on but nothing happening with the compressor. We had a bad lightning event the night before but didn't notice any other problems with our appliances. I took off the start relay that plugs into the compressor. There are 2 wires, red & blue going to the start relay. Which one goes to L and which one goes to N. If I replace this will it work?
1 Answer Jimmy, Does the condenser fan run ? if not then you'll need to check the ADC board 5303918476. The fan and the compressor use the same power source. If the compressor won't start then replacing the PTC/Relay may solve the issue. The Red wire will attach to the terminal labeled "L", and the Blue wire will attach to the terminal labeled "N". Replacing the PTC/Relay should work unless the motor windings inside the compressor are damaged, or there's no voltage on the red wire. Read More...
Paul O. August 03, 2013 for Model Number FRS6L7EES1 Side by side Frigidaire, Not cooling. Compressor will start for a few seconds then shut down. The fan continues to run. Could this be the relay for the compressor or run capacitor?
Charles Q July 01, 2013 for Model Number FRS26H5ASBA In description of compressor starting device number 241527803 ..,it says to order harness part #297177300 in order to be able to install relay...However when checking compatibility, it says harness is not compatible ?? Please help ...Give me both part # s that are compatible...Thank you
1 Answer Charles, Part number 297237702 is the correct start device for your unit and the wire harness connector part number 297177300 is the correct harness. Because the harness is not listed on the parts diagram this is the reason that it does not show compatibility. Read More...
Marcy May 27, 2013 for Model Number FRS26LF7DS HOW TO TAKE THE STARTER RELAY OFF THIS IS A FRIGIDAIRE MODEL SIDE BY SIDE

Steve August 11, 2012 for Model Number 25354673304 I purchased a replacement Starter (part# 241527803 for our Kenmore Frige, and the existing wiring (Blue & Red) connectors are too big to fit on the new starter prongs. Is there a way to make them fit like to use some kind of adapter connector, or remove the small piece of black plastic that is in the way on the new one so that the larger connector will then fit on the new prongs? Or does the existing wiring harness need to be replaced as well? Please help! Thanks so much
1 Answer Steve, Sorry, but yes you will need to order a wire harness adapter 297177300 in order to install the new relay onto the compressor. Thanks Read More...
