By: Frigidaire
Part Number: OEM15919416
Manufacturer Part Number: 297237702

The Compressor Start Relay is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. This essential component is responsible for initiating the compressor's start-up process by supplying power to the compressor motor. It helps kickstart the compressor, allowing it to begin the cooling cycle.

A faulty start relay or overload can occur due to wear and tear over time, electrical issues, or component failure.

Signs of a bad start relay may include:

  • The refrigerator not cooling properly or not cooling at all
  • Unusual noises coming from the compressor area
  • The compressor fails to start or repeatedly cycles on and off

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

Sean for Model Number E23CS75DSS1

Had a bad thunderstorm a week ago and when I woke up the next morning my Electrolux Refrigerator was not working and freezer thawed. I attempted the reset the unit but only the fan runs and shortly after replugging in the Frig, I hear a "click" noise that seems to restrict power that prevents the Frig from operating normal. Best analogy....it's like a GFCI outlet in a wall always trips when something is plugged in. That is how my Frig is acting. Do you think I need a Controller Tsd? Thank You

Answer

Sean, With the unit making a clicking noise, if the fans are operating but the unit not cooling then the most likely cause of failure would be the controller/start relay 241511101 on your compressor. If the fans are also not operating then it sounds like the control board 241511101 would be the issue.
