Michael January 19, 2019 for Model Number EWFLW65IMBO Hi My detergent dispenser drawer won't stay closed, I have to tape it shut. It looks as if a piece has broken off the small latch/arm that moves when the front button is depressed. There's nothing catching when the drawer is closed. What part do I need to fix this? My washer is blue. Also, noticing that often the softener doesn't dispense and there is often water in both the detergent and softener trays after a wash. Is this related to the other issue or separate? I've had the washer since 2009 without issue up to now, so any assistance you can give would be very welcome. Thanks
1 Answer Michael, the part number for the dispenser drawer is going to be 5304505336. As far as there being water left in the tray after a wash cycle, this is an indicator that there is soap residue clogging the drain port preventing fluids from draining through to the tub properly. You will want to thoroughly clean the housing and the ports of any additional part that detergents are poured into. Read More...
Savannahjack May 07, 2014 for Model Number EIFLS551(RR/MB/)1W The outside panel of the Dispenser Drawer will not stay securely closed. When you depress the pop open button it sometimes falls off of the washer assembly. At one point, 3 little plastic strips fell out. I presume they may be involved with the closure but I can not see where they were from. The washer is less than 2 years old.
1 Answer Savannahjack, Based on the description of the lever falling off the dispenser drawer then the drawer itself would need to be replaced. The part number for the drawer is 5304535249. Read More...

Jay January 29, 2014 for Model Number EIFLW55HMBO I need to know, if the drawer to the dispenser is not properly closing, could it stop water from operating correctly. My water will not fill up in the tub, but it will keep the cycle going without water. Is there a sensor that will prevent the water from coming out if the drawer on the dispenser is broke.
1 Answer Jay, There is not a sensor on the unit that would allow the water to not flow if the dispenser is broken. With the unit agitating even empty then you will want to check the fill hoses to make sure that the screens in the valve are clean. Also check the pressure hose to make sure that pressure hose is not clogged. Read More...
Bob C. August 16, 2013 for Model Number EWFLS70 My soap dispenser drawer does not "pop" out anymore. I removed it and found an assembly laying in the housing that is a spring-loaded "plunger" (for lack of better description). It is intact and there does not appear to be anything broken, it has tabs on the housing that look like they snap into something in the housing for the drawer. I cannot find any exploded views that show this part and would like to snap it back into place. Can you help??
1 Answer Hello Bob. The tab is broke. That is the reason the spring is out. You will need to order the drawer assembly 137440407. Read More...
Deborah W. April 10, 2012 for Model Number EIFLW55HMBO The detergent dispensing drawer will not close and must be taped shut to operate the machine. I purchased the machine and begin using it in mid-September 2011. Since I live alone, the machine has been well taken care of and has certainly not been overworked. The latch will not work, and although I have somewhat of a mechanical aptitude, I cannot get the drawer to release and come out to see if the latch could be repaired. I need HELP!!!
1 Answer Hi Deborah. The dispenser Drawer is part # 137440407. Remove the top (by removing the top/back T-20 screws). Then slide the top back, up and off. Look at the front inside cover and see if the 3-top or bottom inner clips are holding the inner white latch system. See if when you press the chrome outer disp. button, that the inside rods and release clips are all intact. If so then look at the side rail Guides part # 134657100. They are placed on the back dispenser tray Lt. And Rt. sides. If they are out of place and binding on the inner dispenser assy. There are 2- inner guide screws that hold thew guide rollers onto the tray. If you are not able to still remove the dispenser outer cover and tray, then try to carefully unclasp the top of the dispenser housing part # 134964020 will not break. Let me know how this all comes out. Thank You. Read More...
