Michael for Model Number EWFLW65IMBO

Hi My detergent dispenser drawer won't stay closed, I have to tape it shut. It looks as if a piece has broken off the small latch/arm that moves when the front button is depressed. There's nothing catching when the drawer is closed. What part do I need to fix this? My washer is blue. Also, noticing that often the softener doesn't dispense and there is often water in both the detergent and softener trays after a wash. Is this related to the other issue or separate? I've had the washer since 2009 without issue up to now, so any assistance you can give would be very welcome. Thanks

Answer

Michael, the part number for the dispenser drawer is going to be 5304505336. As far as there being water left in the tray after a wash cycle, this is an indicator that there is soap residue clogging the drain port preventing fluids from draining through to the tub properly. You will want to thoroughly clean the housing and the ports of any additional part that detergents are poured into.
