Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Dual Element (Part Number: OEM13670382)

Dewey, The issue with the inner ring not working would be caused by a faulty burner. You would need to lift the cooktop out of the counter and remove the screws around the perimeter, and the burner knobs and lift the main top off. This will give access to the elements to replace.

Sonny, If the issue is in the radiant heater in the burner, yes, you'd have to replace the complete burner assembly 316555800. But you would want to test and verify the dual infinite switch circuits 318120521 The switch has separate circuits for power to the inner element and the outer element. If the P2 to 4 circuits on the switch have failed, the inner element will not operate. You may want to test or replace the infinite switch first.

I purchase a front dual surface element, part#316555800 for my model #FEFL79HCA. When I install the new element, the light on the surface switch light come's on, none of the element light's up. I change the switch around, and it works on the other element. This is the second element I have received they both did the same thing. When I put the original back in the unit everything works fine the 6 inch element is burnt out , the 9 inch is still working. What is different with the original element and the replacement.the numbers on the replacement 6025175261, 15 EGO 19/06/2114 3 170 02:15:54 6 68

Christopher, Based on the information it sounds like when you are hooking up the wiring, there may be a wire that is getting connected to the wrong area and causing this issue. It sounds like either L1 or L2 is getting hooked up to the pilot and the pilot getting connected to the L1 or L2 on the element. You will want to verify all connections and make sure that you are getting the wiring correct.

Joy, There is not a video showing how to replace the Dual element for your unit. To get lift the top you will remove 3 screws from the door opening that hold the main top in place and lift the main top and pulling forward slightly. Disconnect the wires and flip the top over. Remove the bracket holding the burner in place and remove the burner and install the new one. The wires should be the same connections.

Quinton, If the connector is the wrong size from the terminal on the element you would just need to change the connector. It will either be a 1/4" if the connector is too small or 3/8" if the connector is too large. You will want to make sure that the connector you use is a high temp connector.
