Dewey January 21, 2015 for Model Number GLEC30S8ABB The Right front dual burner will only burn on the outter ring. The center burner stopped working. Is this the burner or the control? How easy is it to change the defective item?
1 Answer Dewey, The issue with the inner ring not working would be caused by a faulty burner. You would need to lift the cooktop out of the counter and remove the screws around the perimeter, and the burner knobs and lift the main top off. This will give access to the elements to replace. Bev January 20, 2015 for Model Number 790.96422403 I am looking for the front left burner for this model. It is a 9" power element and not a dual element. Could you tell me which part number I should use?
Sonny January 05, 2015 for Model Number PLES389DCB Why does the Radiant surface element (15b- on diagram) outer layer heats up but the not the inner or middle part. Why is that? Do I need to replace the whole radiant surface or is there something minor I can reset to make it work again?
1 Answer Sonny, If the issue is in the radiant heater in the burner, yes, you'd have to replace the complete burner assembly 316555800. But you would want to test and verify the dual infinite switch circuits 318120521 The switch has separate circuits for power to the inner element and the outer element. If the P2 to 4 circuits on the switch have failed, the inner element will not operate. You may want to test or replace the infinite switch first. Read More...

Christopher A November 15, 2014 for Model Number FEFL79HCA I purchase a front dual surface element, part#316555800 for my model #FEFL79HCA. When I install the new element, the light on the surface switch light come's on, none of the element light's up. I change the switch around, and it works on the other element. This is the second element I have received they both did the same thing. When I put the original back in the unit everything works fine the 6 inch element is burnt out , the 9 inch is still working. What is different with the original element and the replacement.the numbers on the replacement 6025175261, 15 EGO 19/06/2114 3 170 02:15:54 6 68
1 Answer Christopher, Based on the information it sounds like when you are hooking up the wiring, there may be a wire that is getting connected to the wrong area and causing this issue. It sounds like either L1 or L2 is getting hooked up to the pilot and the pilot getting connected to the L1 or L2 on the element. You will want to verify all connections and make sure that you are getting the wiring correct. Read More...
Joy September 11, 2014 for Model Number GLEF378CSA Is there a video or YouTube for replacing the Dual element with part number 316224300 or 316418400?
1 Answer Joy, There is not a video showing how to replace the Dual element for your unit. To get lift the top you will remove 3 screws from the door opening that hold the main top in place and lift the main top and pulling forward slightly. Disconnect the wires and flip the top over. Remove the bracket holding the burner in place and remove the burner and install the new one. The wires should be the same connections. Read More...
James R. July 15, 2014 for Model Number Model 79046609500 Which element part number is for the right front burner?
Hong H. July 08, 2014 for Model Number Frigidaire FEFL79DSK I recently bought a dual surface element, and I replaced the old one with the new one. However, when I plugged the oven back in, the light on the switch turned on. I am wondering if you have any ideas as to why this happens, because it didn't happen with the original one. The new dual surface element model is 316555800. Thank you
Quinton May 01, 2014 for Model Number FEFL79HCA Received replacement burner for my Frigidaire glass top stove. All plugs fit on replacement burner prongs except for one. Black cord plug is too small for corresponding prong. What now?
1 Answer Quinton, If the connector is the wrong size from the terminal on the element you would just need to change the connector. It will either be a 1/4" if the connector is too small or 3/8" if the connector is too large. You will want to make sure that the connector you use is a high temp connector. Read More...
