Riya February 27, 2014 for Model Number CPLEF398ACA I have Frigidaire electric range. Two of the burners are not working. Model numbers are 316235300 and 316224300. I cannot find the parts for above mentioned model numbers. I wanted to know if there are substitute model numbers or these are the only parts which can be used.
1 Answer Hello Riya. Both of those part numbers are good and are available. 316555800 and 316280701. Read More...
Billy February 19, 2014 for Model Number 790.94359700 I purchased this unit to replace an element #316418401. I rewired the element to match the connector #'s specified on both units(1b,2a,2b) Unfortunately, on my model the black wire that connects to 1b is not long enough. If I connect it, the element will not go back into it's place on the range. Is there a way to fix this without replacing and rerouting the wire?
1 Answer Billy, The only way to correct it would be to take a small piece of wire and splice it to the original wiring. If you do this you will want to use ceramic wire nuts to tie the wires together. Read More...
Aaron February 10, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore 79096229407 The large front left burner on my Kenmore range was stuck on the high setting and wouldn't change when adjusting the knob. After a few seconds the circuit breaker tripped on the house panel. I reset the breaker and the range had power but the large front left burner doesn't turn on. All other buners function normal. Is it a bad burner, switch or something else? What part would I need to order? Thanks.
1 Answer Aaron, You will want to access the control panel and test the switch for the element. On the switch there will be a H1 and H2. With the burner turned on you will want to check for 240 vac across these terminals. If no voltage then replace the switch. If there is 240 vac then replace the element. Read More...
Caleb January 16, 2014 for Model Number 790.9642240c I am changing out my large front double element part #316418401 which replaces part #316555800 and one wire fitting is too small to fit on what do I do?
1 Answer Hello Caleb. Looking at the photo there is a smaller terminal. Make sure you are placing the wires where they are needed on the element. Read More...
Kenneth January 16, 2014 for Model Number PLEF398CCB The inner element of the dual surface element in my Frigidaire Electric Range (PLEF398CCB) stays on (red hot) continuously. It does not turn off by selecting "off" and cannot lower the heat by turning the knob down. I disconnected the wire to the inner element so that I could continue using the stove. The outer part (element) of this dual element works fine and everything else in the stove works fine. What is causing the element to stay on? I suspect it is the thermostat that is attached to the element. This electric range model cycles the surface element on and off to maintain constant heat. What part do I need to replace? Can I purchase the thermostat alone or do I have to buy the entire dual surface element?
1 Answer Hello Kenneth. Test for power from the board. If the relay is stuck, replace the interface 316239500 for the unit. Read More...

Frances Bt November 10, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire Range FEFL77ASE Surface ElementOEM Part Number: AP3706849 Made by: Frigidaire How difficult is it to install this part - is it a matter of removing the glass range top and then unplugging the old element and plugging in the new element or is electrical experience required. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Frances BT. Yes, it is that easy, but you have to make sure you hook the wires onto the same terminals you remove the from on the old element. Otherwise, they are not hard to replace. Read More...
Warren S. November 01, 2013 for Model Number FES365ECD How do you remove the glass and install the element for this model? I can't figure out how to get the top to release to gain access to the element. Please explain.
1 Answer Hello Warren, A slide in unit will have to be removed from its' installed position to remove the main top. Be sure to dis-continue the power supply to the unit before beginning. You will have to remove the screws around the perimeter of the top on the sides and back of the unit to release the main top. In some cases, the knobs have to be removed to allow access to the large nuts under them. When these are removed, the control panel can be released and the screws under this panel can be accessed, (only necessary on certain series of this model). Read More...
