The Washer Door Hinge is an OEM part compatible with Frigidaire washing machines. This hinge ensures the door opens and closes smoothly and securely, maintaining a proper seal during operation.

Common causes of a faulty hinge include regular wear and tear from frequent use, corrosion due to exposure to moisture, or physical damage from accidental impacts. A damaged hinge can lead to improper door alignment, affecting the washing machine’s ability to maintain a watertight seal.

Symptoms of a bad washer door hinge include:

  • Difficulty in opening or closing the door
  • The door not staying in place or sagging
  • Leaks from around the door area
  • Visible signs of rust or damage on the hinge

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Hello U.D., The bushings could be replaced if they were available without the hinge assembly 134550800, but you should not try to shim the hinge since it will cause problems with the door leaking.

Ashley, No quite sure of the part that you are referring to but would imagine that you are referring to either the hinge itself or the door 5304506940.

Hello J. Gilbert. Yes, you can try that, and if it does not fix it, you can replace the front panel 137021811. Hope this helps.
