The Washer Door Hinge is an OEM part compatible with Frigidaire washing machines. This hinge ensures the door opens and closes smoothly and securely, maintaining a proper seal during operation.

Common causes of a faulty hinge include regular wear and tear from frequent use, corrosion due to exposure to moisture, or physical damage from accidental impacts. A damaged hinge can lead to improper door alignment, affecting the washing machine’s ability to maintain a watertight seal.

Symptoms of a bad washer door hinge include:

  • Difficulty in opening or closing the door
  • The door not staying in place or sagging
  • Leaks from around the door area
  • Visible signs of rust or damage on the hinge

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Bill for Model Number Frigidare front loader model FAFW3001LW0

Two Issues, but I feel the first one, (Hinge) has been answered by the sagging door questions answered in this forum. That is what mine does. The second issue may have been caused by the first one. After 4 years, lifting the door to close properly has worked till now. I close the door, push the start button, the lights come on and the time displays. Just like normal. Problem is "Nothing Happens" at that point. I push the start button again, the sensing light comes on, but the "Door Lock" light is off. The timer display goes from the "set time" to saying pause, back and forth every 5 seconds and keeps repeating. My take is that the "Door Lock" switch is broken and possibly the plastic striker that goes into the lock mechanism may be worn. I am looking for a second opinion before dropping $$$ on a switch and striker. .

Hello Bill, The door switch 131763256 is a common failure on this design. I would first verify the door hinge assembly 134550800 is not worn and causing the door to strike too low. This can actually cause issues with the proper striking of the door.

Hello James. In order to replace the hinge, you will need to open the door and remove the screws securing the hinge to the cabinet of the unit. Then lift upward to remove the door and hinge from the cabinet. Lay the door on a soft surface and disassemble the door to remove the hinge and replace it. You can take pictures of disassembly to help with the reassembly of the unit.
