QUESTION: Do I replace the microswitch again, or do I need to start looking at other potential causes, like auger etc. I appreciate any advice before I start buying parts again.
1 Answer Joe, It would not be the switch as there is only one switch for ice and water. It would be recommended to check to see if there is 120 Vac getting to the auger motor. I can keep the freezer door open and push the door switch with my hand and the dispenser comes on 1 to 2 seconds every time I push the door switch. Is it the micro switch?
Jack February 19, 2019 for Model Number PLHS267ZAB5 Ice maker stopped dispensing ice. Just replaced the auger motor. After replacing, the motor worked for a second and then stops and hums. When I depress the ice dispenser, I hear a click and a hum but auger not working. When I select the crushed ice button and then push the ice dispenser, I get no click or noise as if it is not working. The water dispenser is working. Can this be the micro switch or is it the power board? Thanks
