Sam June 22, 2017 for Model Number Frigidare Bought a new PureSource 3 water filter. Replaced it as directed in the instructions. Now when I press for water in the door it leaks everywhere until I press the control lock. It also prompts the ice maker to release ice into the inside door of the refrigerator, sometimes even crushed ice. This is all from the water lever, even once you let go of it. I've tried putting in the old filter back, does the same thing. I've tried turning off the refrigerator and back on, shaking all the water out of the filters and trying again, turning off the ice maker, everything I can think of. Can't seem to find anyone else with this problem online.

1 Answer Shaun, The dispenser will have room temp water until it has time to cool back down after replacing filter. If the water is hot as in like coming from the hot water side of the sink then this would not have anything to do with the refrigerator. Read More...
Tim April 25, 2017 for Model Number FFHS2311PF2 Why am I having to change my water filter so often. My refrigerator has a puresource 3 model number WF3cb. We rarely use the water dispenser so most of the water that is going through it is going to the ice maker. After about 3 months the ice maker stops working until I change the filter again. At $45-$50 a pop for a filter every 2-3 months this adds up.

Gary April 25, 2017 Have a Frigidaire that uses the Puresoure 3 Water Filtration system. Had a light come on when dispensing ice that showed orange. This was after I had turned up the ice make to make ice come out a little quicker than it was. Now I am not getting ice made and I have taken the actual filter out checked to see if it was the issue, emptied it out by shaking it in the sink, reinserted the filter with nothing. I can dispense water but no ice is being made. Do I need to replace the filter? I updated the setting on the ice by using the manual. What is my next step?
1 Answer Gary, The filter will not be the issue with the unit dispensing water and this will most likely be either a frozen fill tube to the icemaker, a faulty icemaker or a faulty water valve. Jessica April 11, 2017 Today I replaced my puresource 3 in my refrigerator with a puresource Ultra. Since replacing water is not being dispensed. I have tried to dispense water and I've held the button for more than 10 minutes. I hear water running I think but no water comes from the dispenser and there is no leak.

Mike March 11, 2017 I have a pure source 3 water filtration system. When you try to dispense water it leaks out around the water filter. Would this be caused by a possibly bad o-ring on the filter itself or possibly something else internal to the system itself?

Josh February 27, 2017 for Model Number FFSS2614QS4A A few days ago, water stopped dispensing. I went to go replace the filter and it still is not dispensing. Every time I try the water and nothing comes out, I go to remove the filter and water explodes out of the filter housing. Its not a steady leak but just from pressure in that moment. I feel water in the filter but it doesn't seem to be making it to the dispenser. I have tried two different filters.

Tom February 10, 2017 My pure source 3 water filter stopped working. I had been waiting to buy a new one when my fridge began to run really cold and would freeze items in the fridge. I bought a new filter but now the old one will not click to come out, I'm not sure if it may be frozen and that might cause it to not click out, trying to run a blow dryer on it to see. Could the filter had have busted while the filter is still connected?
