Debbie December 30, 2013 for Model Number 790-92683301 I have a Kenmore 790-92683301. The left front burner serves as a burner and a simmer. When I turn on the burner it does not heat up but when I press the simmer button it heats up. Is this the switch and if so which one do I need. Thank you.
1 Answer Debbie, You will want to check the push button as it may be faulty. Also check the burner switch for 240 vac coming off the burner switch at the h1 and h2 terminals. If there is not 240 vac then you will need to replace the burner switch. Read More...

Bob November 24, 2013 for Model Number FEF389WECG My control panel works, all buttons perform as they should however I can not see the clock/temp. Pixels very dim what can I do?
1 Answer Bob, The lights dimming on the control board would be caused by a faulty control board which would need to be replaced to correct. Unfortunately the clock 316080103, which is the part required, has been discontinued by the manufacture with no replacement. Read More...
Joe September 25, 2013 for Model Number kenmoore 790.92302012 Back burner does not come on but the light that says burner is on is lit.
1 Answer Hello Joe. You need to check and see if the switch is sending power to the element. If not, replace the switch. If it is sending the power, replace the element on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. 1 Answer Hello Steve. Either the temp sensor on the element is bad or the switch is bad. If you unplug the sensor, and the P on the switch still puts out 120 volts, replace the switch.
