Joye September 19, 2011 for Model Number wer211es0 My dryer will not start. If I hold in the button, it makes a clicking sound, but does not do anything.
1 Answer Hello Joye. Make sure the door switch is good on the unit. If so, you will need to test the thermal fuse 134120900 located on the back of the dryer behind the drum. It should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Maurice April 02, 2011 for Model Number fde336res1 My start button wont work untill I hold it in. Is there any way I can check this before I order a part. It works good long as i hold it in on my dryer. Will it hurt to hold it in? Do you think this is the part I need?
1 Answer Hello Maurice. It sounds like the start switch is bad in the motor. The push to start is working correctly, if it is starting the dryer. You will need to replace the motor 131560100. They do not recommend running it by holding the button. Hope this helps. Read More...
