Jim Kirn November 03, 2017 for Model Number FGX831FS5 Hello, I have a Frigidair combo unit that will go through wash cycle and stall on the rinse and drain cycle,I can here the timer counting down but nothing happens.Wanted to purchase timer sounds like it's that,if this is not the problem will you accept the returned part. Thanks,Jim
1 Answer Jim, Unfortunately, no, electric/electronic parts are no longer returnable. Before you replace the timer, make sure there is plenty of cold water supplied to the washer, and the fill valve cold water solenoid operates and opens. The rinse cycles are cold water fill, If there's no cold water to the washer or the cold solenoid fails, the washer will stop at the start of the rinse cycle. If there is water and the solenoid operates, then replace the timer. Read More...

John October 28, 2013 for Model Number fgx831fs5 Washer will not drain, pump was clogged with soap powder. I cleared the clog still doesn't pump but iam only getting 38 volts to the pump. Is there a pump relay or is it burned contacts in the timer?
1 Answer Hello John. 38 Volts, you need to check the wiring on the unit. The power for the pump comes from the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Lane October 21, 2013 for Model Number fex831fs4 The wash timer does not advance thru any cycles. If washing, it keeps washing, if spinning, it keeps spinning. Is there something that powers the timer motor on/off or does it get power internally? This part has been replaced about a year ago so I want to make sure it is not something else. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Lane. You need to check and see if the timer motor has power, but does not advance on the unit. If so, you need to order and replace the timer on the unit.
