Curt March 25, 2017 for Model Number FEX831CS0 Machine would not work properly, replaced timer. will fill with water and not advance any further. Manually advanced to rinse nothing. manually advanced to spin would spin and drain. could not get to do anything else. Help! Thanks for your time
1 Answer Curt, With the unit spinning and draining but not doing anything else, you will want to check the pressure switch to make sure that it is good and then check to make sure that the motor is getting power to it. If it is getting power but not running then the motor would be the issue. Read More...
Brian P. October 04, 2016 I have a Frigidaire Stacked Washer Dryer unit that recently had its washer timer fail. The OEM part number is 131758600. One of my local appliance shops has a timer available that looks identical, but the part number is different (OEM 134049600). My question is, are these two timers mechanically and electrically identical or at least similar enough to use across machine models? If I could use the one available now it would save me a lot time and money.
1 Answer Brian, Unfortunately the timers would not be interchangeable due to different functions the units may have. If your unit calls for 131758600 then this is what you would want to get. Read More...
Megan September 24, 2016 When I pull the knob out to start water, nothing happens. Close the lid & it spins. What could be the cause?
1 Answer Hello Megan, If you could please post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag, we will be able to provide a diagnosis based on the wiring configuration. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Mike March 29, 2016 for Model Number FEX831CSO I have an FEX831CSO washer and dryer combo. Recently it stopped draining. Then drained for about a week and stopped again. Ever since it will not drain. I have replaced the pump. The hoses seemed free and all water drained after disconnecting from the pump. I can fill the tub with water and it goes into the agitating cycle. I can hear the timer click after the agitating cycle until it reaches the drain cycle then nothing after that. No draining, no spin, no rinse. I have cleared up any lint on all the connections but still nothing. The lid when it is down does contact and the washer, as I stated does agitate. Not sure where to go from here.
1 Answer Mike, You will need to check the drain pump to make sure that there is 120 vac to it. If there is not 120 vac to the pump then check the wiring between the timer and the pump. If the wiring checks ok then the issue will be the timer. Read More...
Patricio March 27, 2016 for Model Number lavadora frigidaire FWS933FS2 MI LAVADORA LLENA LA TINA DE AGUA ,PERO NO EMPIEZA EL LAVADO, SI MUEVO LA PERILLA DEL PROGRAMADOR HASTA LA POSICION DE SPIN ,DRENA EL AGUA Y LUEGO CENTRIFUGA
Read More...
Vicky March 02, 2016 I have a Frigidaire FEX831FS2, when I pull the knob to fill there is nothing, when I advance it to spin it will spin then nothing again. Can it be my timer?
1 Answer Hello Vicky. You will need to check the water valve on the unit and the pressure switch for the unit. Make sure the valve is not clogged. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Dom January 18, 2016 for Model Number FWX833AS0 My washer wasn't draining (I replaced the water pump 6 months ago) and it worked. Now it doesn't drain again. I checked the pump and it is clear. The washer will run up to spin and that's it. Could it be the timer that also makes a grinding noise? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Dom, You need to make sure the lines are clear to and from the drain pump and nothing is in the outer tub preventing water from getting to the drain pump. If clear, check for voltage to the drain pump when set to drain. If no voltage the issue will be the harness or the timer. If there is voltage and no blockages, the issue will be internal to the drain pump, (mechanical issue). Read More...
Danny B December 20, 2015 for Model Number GWS645RhSO Gibson Washer 3/4hp I stoped the washer about 4min of wash and turned it to 12 now it will not advance properly. Is there a way to set the timing because it worked prerfectly before I got really smart?
1 Answer Danny, Unfortunately there is no way to set the timing on the timer for this unit. If the timer is not advancing properly then it sounds like the contacts are faulty. Read More...
Greg October 26, 2015 for Model Number FAFW4011LW0 I have a washer that when I turn it on to wash with 45 min, it will start to drain then start to fill for a short period of time then start to turn for a very short time 5 min max and then all the sudden after a few minutes skip to 3 min and will never spin. I have even tried to put it on spin cycle and it won't spin. I have replaced the main CCU Board and the Control Board with no luck. Is it the timer? Thanks Greg
1 Answer Hello Greg. You need to check and make sure the drain pump is working properly and not clogged. Also, check the door lock assembly 131763256 on the unit. Read More...
Kev August 26, 2015 The washer portion of my Frigidaire stackable washer-dryer appliance never moves from the start of the cycle to any other sequence of the cycle. If I manually move the Timer to Rinse or Dry, then it changes the action of the washer correctly. Does this just mean the timer (part 131758600B) needs to be replaced?
1 Answer Hello Kev. It does sound like the timer on the unit. You will need to test and see if there is power to the timer motor. If so, you will need to order and replace the timer on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
