Brick Y.D. April 13, 2013 for Model Number GFC530V I cannot get the sink flange assembly down over gasket in order to mount disposal. Seems to tight, lugs will not compress the gasket. Seems like gasket is to thick.
1 Answer Hello Brick, Number 5 is just a gasket and it can be left out if you use plumbers putty. Number 6 is used as a "washer" for the support ring to spin against so it can be tightened. If the parts do not fit together, you might need to take the entire disposer back to the dealership and exchange it.
