Cliff February 23, 2014 for Model Number GE JB968S0K1SS GE JB968s0k1ss Neither broiler nor self clean work. I checked the broiler element and it shows continuity (about 1 Ohm cold of course). Oven and all burners are otherwise fine. there are no abnormal indicators error codes etc. on the display. I hear a small relay click when I press the start button in the broil hi or lo selection. When I try to do a self clean, the lock engages but no heat. Please help to diagnose correct part(s) to purchase. Thanks very much. Cliff
1 Answer Hello Cliff. If you test for power coming from the control to the element during a broil cycle, and you do not have 240 volts there, you will need to replace the control WB27T10806 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
