I have noticed that there are 3 other knobs for other settings and the shaft diameter for the other 3 is different than that of the timer knob. i checked in one store and they gave me a knob which is very loose. Do I need to buy an insert to reduce the diameter of the knob to fit the shaft ? Can you tell me if this knob required for the timer is different ? If yes what is the diameter / specs ? Also does the metal insert reduce the diameter or does it just reinforce the knob?
