Hello Matt, I could not locate any specifications on WR9X565 but WR9X502 is a 6hr 25min timer. The difference, (if any), will be the defrost time and duration between defrost cycles. The 6 hour/25 minute basically means that every 6 hours, the timer will go into defrost for 25 minutes. This specifications is important so the unit does not build up frost/ice from not melting it all away and the unit does not defrost too long so food starts to defrost. Either way is not good. This is why the specific part is recommended by the manufacturer. Unless you can find specific specifications on the other timer and they are the same as the one listed for your unit, I would not recommend substituting the parts.

Hello John, You will need to check the compressor on this unit to see if it is running hot. If so, the issue you describe sounds like a possible sealed system restriction. This would require a Freon certified technician to diagnose/repair.

Andy, Not quite enough information at this point. But if both compartments are cold or cooling, but not enough to keep articles cold or frozen, then you want to check the condenser and condenser fan for operation. If the fan motor or condenser coil is clogged or dirty it wont transfer the heat properly and the refrigerator will run warmer than expected. If the refrigerator is located in the garage or other non air conditioned space, the heat transfer wont be efficient as well. A quick easy check for a defrost problem. Open the freezer door, remove enough articles from the shelves to see the back wall of the freezer,if there's a "heavy" build up of frost and/or ice on the back wall then you may have a defrost problem.

I have a cooling issue (freezer & refrigerator). The compressor and condenser fan both run fine, but the evaporator fan gets no juice even with all door switches depressed. I removed the evaporator fan and it tests fine with 120v. The evaporator coils are a little frosted (as expected). Orange wire appears to be the 'common' which tests zero to ground for the fan and the light. The other connector attaches two wires (one blue, one dark blue) which also tests zero. To make sure my meter and the door switches work fine, I tested the light and all looks good there. Why no juice to the hot (blue\dk blue) side of the evaporator fan?

Hello David, I would suspect one of the door switches since both are in the circuit. There are also the harness, the fan motor, and a thermodisc WR50X0108.

Hello Bob. It sounds like the timer is bad and not allowing it enough time to defrost. If this is not the issue, and the frost pattern is not all of the coils, then you have sealed system failure and will need an HVAC tech.

Suzie, This issue sounds like the drain in the freezer is frozen and you will need to remove the rear cover in the freezer and clean the drain and flush it.

Hello Russ. It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the evaporator coils in the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the control board.
