For Ge Dryer Drum Front Support Bearing (Part Number: OEM11371932)

1 Answer

Hello Ray. Check the belt, and the rear bearing on the unit. See if either is causing the noise. Also, check the idler pulley.

Shannon for Model Number DPSE810EG0WT

First off a big thank you. Your videos are a tremendous help. They gave me the confidence to tackle this project. I had a bad squeaking issue with the GE Profile Dryer (DPSE810EG0WT) and a lot of black dust. I purchased and replaced drum support bearing, all 4 drum slide/glides, drive belt, felt seal, idler pulley and drum bearing kit. Put it all back. No more squeaking! For a lack of a better term it is making a faint almost "swooshing" sound. It didn't make this noise when rotating the drum manually when I was aligning the belt. Happened after attaching the front panel support. Any ideas of maybe something I did incorrectly. Could it be the drum against the new felt seal? Or is it normal with the new drum glides? Again, thanks for the parts and great videos!

Shannon, When replacing the bearing glides it is normal for the unit to have the swooshing type noise for a little while and then it will go away.

Lori for Model Number DBXR463EDC1CC front load electric GE dryer

Dryer squeaks loudly, when drying especially on a heavier load. I noticed the noise loudest near the top of the door. I also noted a lot of play front to back on the front drum support. I placed a small amount of vegetable oil into the front drum support, the squeak stopped, however I realized this is only short term. I need to replace the slides and the front drum support, can you tell me the exact part numbers for this electric dryer. DBXR463EDC1CC

1 Answer

Hello Lori, The rear drum bearing kit part number is WE25M40. The inner white slides, (two of these), are WE03X37318. The two outer slides, green, (two of these), are WE03X37317. If the front drum bearing WE3M26, (the part the slides fit into), has been worn down, it will require replacement also to prevent premature failure of the other parts you are now replacing. While inside the unit, remove the idler pulley and clean the pulley arm where the pulley rides with a dry paper towel and if sticky, use a dab of rubbing alcohol to cut the residue from the softener sheets.

Hello Judy, Does the dryer motor come on or is the machine silent? You may have inadvertantly unplugged one of the wires to the door switch when you removed the front panel.
