T.T. June 11, 2013 for Model Number GE Dryer DWSR463EG6WW Dryer is squeaking. We changed the slides but then noticed the dryer drum front support is cracked in several places. We just wanted to make sure we ordered the correct part and needed to know if there is anything else we should replace.
1 Answer Hello T.T., If the front drum support (AP3790641) is cracked, it should be replaced and the rear bearing assembly (AP2619300) should also be replaced since this is the cause of most squeaking in this design. George April 20, 2013 for Model Number DBXR463GBOWW My gas dryer was squeaking. I replaced the sleeve bearing in the rear of the drum and greased both front and rear bearings. That worked for a couple days then started squeaking again. Grease helps its but only for a short time. The front plastic bearing seems to be coming apart, also the drum seems loose. Will the front bearing and slides correct that. Do I need four white or 2 green and 2 white for my model, they look like they are all white,Thanks
