Krony, The blue, red, white and yellow wires on your unit go into a plug together and just connect to the plug on the unit. The Purple, yellow and black wires they are referring to would be connected to the bake terminal, broil terminal and L1. Look for these individual wires and connect them where the directions on the tech sheet advise.

Hello Eugene. Yes, if the board indicates the oven is on, but nothing is heating, and the elements are good, you will need to replace the control board on the unit.

Steve K for Model Number JBP78WY5WW11

The broiler element on my stove does not heat; all other components work fine. I removed the element and tested it for continuity, and it passed - 16 ohms. I also hooked up the element to 120 volt power source and it heated up. So I'm thinking it's the control board - do you agree? If so, I'm worried about the disclaimer "Wiring instructions are not included if new part does not match wiring a appliance repair person may be needed." I'm handy, but not enough so to figure things out if all the connectors don't match. Your advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Steve. Yes, the broil element having continuity but not working when in the unit would be caused by a faulty control board.

Joe, If the bake element shorted, you'll need a new one WB44X5082. It is also likely the bake relay contacts on the ERC WB27X10311 shorted together and you have a constant 220 - 240 VAC to the oven elements, until power is removed to the range. You're pretty much on target, thinking you'll need the ERC.
