Ken April 08, 2014 for Model Number kscs25inss00 I need to replace the lower cam on the refrigerator door. I replaced the upper cam that rotates with the refrigerator door, but I have been unable to find the lower cam that sits stationary on the post of the hinge assembly that is mounted to the refrigerator.
1 Answer Hello Ken. The cam 8201813 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
Julie August 12, 2013 for Model Number TFX25JP My refrigerator door slams open and no longer stops gently like it did when it was new. It does not appear that the "door stop" piece is damaged. Can you tell me what part you would recommend I replace to fix this issue? I'm thinking it's possible the cam riser is just worn and old. Thank you.
Will May 11, 2013 for Model Number TFX25ZPBEWW My refrigerator door literally fell off, the riser cam is broken, I am not sure if i need just the cam or additional parts to do the repair. What would you suggest?
1 Answer Will, If "My refrigerator door literally fell off" you'll also need to check and verify the door hinge WR13X10020 isn't damaged or the "cup" in the bottom of the door isn't worn out as well. Read More...
John Y November 16, 2012 for Model Number GE Fridge TFX25ZPBBBB I bought these 3 parts: shim cam, door stop, cam riser from you. But not sure what needs replacing. the door opens and closes fine, but the door doesn't get pulled back in to close, which results in it being left open if door is not pushed all the way closed. The cam riser on my door is rivited in so not sure how to replace it with the new one. Do i have the right parts to fix the problem or maybe need different ones? Here are the parts i bought. shim cam WR2X7490 hinge cam riser WR02X10140 door stop WR2X7213 Thank you. johnyochim
1 Answer Hello John, The lower hinge cam comes as an assembly with the lower hinge WR13X10020. The cam that you have is the upper cam for the bottom of the door. If the door is not closing properly due to bad cam you should replace both. In most cases both of them wear and cause this type of issue. Read More...
Blake February 25, 2012 for Model Number TFX25PRYFBB Whenever I open the Refrigerator Door, (not the freezer door) halfway during the opening process the door drop down like about quarter inch and makes a grinding sound, also when closing it makes the same sound, its seems to be coming from the lower hinge is that something I can fix?
1 Answer Blake it does sound as though you've got a problem with the part called the riser. WR13X10020 is a kit that comes with the pieces I believe you'll find to be the problem. Remove the top hinge of the door and it will lift off, you'll then be able to see the lower hinge and determine if this is the problem. Thanks. Read More...
Ted February 08, 2012 for Model Number TFX25PRBA AA I'm looking at P/N AP2057539 "Hinge Cam Riser." The existing piece broke and now the door will not close with just a touch. Could you tell me how difficult it would be to replace it myself. Am Afraid I may be getting alittle over my head.
1 Answer Hi Ted. This is a relatively simple task. More time consuming then difficult.Remove food or ice from inner door panel. Remove the top door hinge cover. Remove power. Disconnect the electrical plugs. Then mark the hinge placement (easier for realignment). Remove the hinge. Lift the door completely off the lower hinge. Then replace the cam riser and lightly use white grease on the moving pieces. Hinge cam riser part # WR02X10140. On the lower freezer door hinge, you may need to press inward on the John Guess fitting outer clips to release the fountain control water line. Thank You. Read More...
