Steve D. June 25, 2016 for Model Number ??? GE Monogram side-by-side built-in, about 2008 I have a temporary water supply problem to the IM. I want to manually fill the ice try with about 4 oz. of water until I get the water feed fixed. But the first time I tried it, the ice never ejected. I want to force my ice maker into a harvest cycle. The instructions I found tell me to move the feeler arm in and out 3 times after the power is connected to the IM. The feeler arm is locked in the in position, I can't move it out. The on/off switch for the ice-maker only seems to block the feeler arm. It doesn't seem to do anything with the electricity. I am unplugging the ice-maker, waiting at least 20 seconds, them plugging it back in.
1 Answer Hello Steve, The arm should not be locked in position on the icemaker so you will need to replace the icemaker on this unit to correct the issue. Read More...
Phil June 17, 2016 for Model Number PSDW3YGXCFSS Cannot locate Model PSDW3YGXCFSS on your kit list? Could you tell me what would cause the over-flow paddle not to spring back? It appears to be hung.
1 Answer Hello Phil, Since no individual parts have been made available by the manufacturer, the complete icemaker assembly WR30X10093 will have to be replaced. Read More...
Chris June 12, 2016 for Model Number ERS2026DACC I ordered a new ice maker but the connectors are different. The freezer has a round plug with 4 prongs. The new ice maker has a square plug with 6 prongs. Is there an adapter? Ice maker I bought is WR30X10093.
1 Answer Hello Chris. The new icemaker should have an adapter harness to use in your unit. Read More...

Tara June 05, 2016 for Model Number GSS25TSWASS When I look at the instructions for replacing the icemaker on the GE website it gives me some information that I question: it says that if I have a plastic interior lined freezer I cannot use the ice stripper that comes with the new icemaker and must use the old stripper (https://www.myapstore.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-46557.pdf). Our old ice stripper broke which is what's causing much of our current problems. On their site I would have to buy the stripper separately - which is another $47. Is that correct? Can I use the stripper that comes with this new icemaker? And how could the interior lining of the freezer possibly have a bearing on the ice stripper? Also, does the replacement ice maker come with a stripper? In the video the guy doesn't replace it. So I'm assuming so. But I'd hate to have to wait for it if it doesn't come with a stripper.
1 Answer Tara, The unit should work with the new stripper and the only possible issue that may arise is the ice not making it into the ice bin properly. The old stripper allows it to flow away from the icemaker and into the bin a little easier. The part number for the stripper in case you decide to change it will be part number WR29X10085. Nalikawi June 02, 2016 for Model Number LSHS6LGZBCSS I received my new icemaker - the paddle which determines if the icebox is full appears as it does in your video - retracted. My old ice maker paddle is spring loaded, however. When the icemaker is installed in the video, it has become unretracted (is that a word?). Is there a release mechanism to let the paddle move back and forth?
Jlkanascity May 31, 2016 for Model Number GEW9200LW0 How often should this icemaker cycle? If it's working correctly what are the factory correct best performance cycle times?
Michael May 25, 2016 for Model Number WR30X10093 I noticed that this part replaced the part 10044 in my freezer. I notice some units have a fill cup at the back of the unit and some have it on the side. Does the cup come off the new unit and able to put onto the back of the new unit, or is the cup from the old unit interchangeable and able to be used on the new unit?
Alan May 16, 2016 for Model Number GFSS6KKYCSS ice maker drips a bit then this freezes to cubes and large chunks clog ice dispenser. need a new icemaker or circuit board? it's like it's not turning off all the way at the end of cycle. happens 10+ x day
1 Answer Alan, First check the water supply line to the refrigerator, make sure there's plenty of water pressure, then replace the water fill valve WR57X10091 / WR57X10091. It's probably seaping water causing the ice maker to overfill and drip into the bin and freeze. Read More...
Roy May 03, 2016 for Model Number PSHS6TGXBDSS Stopped making ice. No water in fill cavities. Do not hear it trying to fill. Sounds like water inlet valve not functioning? Any ideas? All other water and ice dispenser functions are working Roy
1 Answer Hello Roy. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
