Bud B September 12, 2013 for Model Number tpx24bryaww My old ice maker has a single arm bail wire. It is not removable and I can see it will not work with this replacement. Your video states this replacement icemaker does not come with a bail wire. How do I get a bail wire for this replacement icemaker?
1 Answer Hello Bud. New icemaker WR30X10093 does not need the bail wire. It has a paddle on the bottom. Read More...
George September 11, 2013 for Model Number GE TFX26CRDA WW My ice maker is getting water but it is just freezing into a block of ice and not making ice cubes. I've defrosted it and checked all the water lines and cannot find any obvious problem. Do you have any suggestions that may help me?
1 Answer Hello George. If the valve is leaking and causing it to freeze the fingers of the icemaker and not dump, replace the water valve. If it is not the valve, then replace the icemaker. Read More...
Bud September 10, 2013 for Model Number tpx24bryaww (icemaker is a wr30x0315 My old icemaker is mounted in the rear. (modelWR30X0315)The fill tube comes in from the back. This replacement model has the fill tube coming in from the end. How do I adapt it? Also, my current icemaker has a single arm bail that does not simple pull out. It is retained within the body of the icemaker. The replacement unit does not come with a bail per your vidio. How do I obtain a bail for this replacement model. I put in the model but there is no parts breakdown for it. Just the entire unit. Thanks!
1 Answer Bud, The fill cup on the new icemaker will come as a separate piece inside the box and can be attached to the back or the end of the icemaker. The new icemaker does not use a bale arm perse, it has a arm that moves in and out on the bottom that tells it when the icemaker is full. Read More...
Tina September 07, 2013 for Model Number GSH25JSTASS My ice maker stopped making ice because one of the teeth looking prongs are broken on the ice stripper. I see the correct ice maker I need is this WR30X10093. I was reading that per the instructions you are to take the old ice stripper off and use it on the new ice maker. I am not sure how I would do that since it's broken.
Al August 30, 2013 for Model Number GE TFX27PF If I start the motor on the ice maker, it will cycle through and make ice cubes. The unit will not continue to cycle automatically to make more cubes. Is there a control module to time cycle the ice maker?
1 Answer Al, The icemaker uses a thermostat that tells it when it is cold enough to cycle. If the unit fills with water and will advance when manually put into the cycle then the thermostat on the icemaker is faulty and would need a new icemaker. Read More...
Brad A August 30, 2013 for Model Number Frig TBX18TPS ice maker JS2 I have an older GE frig model TBX18TPJ with ice maker model JS2. The problem I am having is the ice maker only makes about 8 cubes per day if any at all and they are only half/hollow cubes at best. I'm not sure it the ice maker or the water valve is the issue. I do not see a water filter on the back of the frig anywhere. Your thoughts? Thanks Brad
1 Answer Brad, The most likely cause of hollow cubes with no water filter on the unit is low water pressure. If the water pressure to the water valve is good then the water valve WR57X10033 would be the most likely cause of the unit producing hollow cubes. Read More...
Tim August 29, 2013 for Model Number PSS26SGRBSS I have a GE Profile Artica PSS26SGRBSS. My ice maker's green light is solid and I ran the test function which produced only 3 very small ice cubs about 1/3 the size of a normal ice cube. Do I need a new Water Inlet Valve? It the old one clogged or semi-clogged? Also at the end of the test the ice maker filled with water but it didn't appear to be the right amount. Although its hard to tell it looks like it could have used some more water. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Tim. Try replacing the filter first and if the issue continues, then replace the water valve on the unit. Read More...
Mike August 29, 2013 for Model Number General Electric # TFX20R My ice-maker quit due to the bale breaking off right in the unit at the front. I understand that the bale is no longer provided in the kits you sell which would make my buying one from you a moot proposition. Is there anywhere that one could purchase this particular item, and if I might ask....why isn't the bale offered with the unit anymore. Seems to me that it is a very important part of the unit, seeing that the unit is useless without it. It doesn't make very much sense to me and I imagine there are quite a few people in my position. Anyway, if you could help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
1 Answer Hello Mike. You have to buy the icemaker assembly for the arm per the manufacturer. Read More...
