Greg, For this issue the icemaker that would be needed is WR30X10093 and would have a 6 pin connection on it. This is the only icemaker available for this unit.

Hash, The CAN29 will not make a difference and you would simply need to order the part number WR30X10093 icemaker if this is the one your unit uses.

Rick B for Model Number WR30X10093

We have a GE side by side refrigerator model #GSS25LGMB that is about 15 years old. Noticed yesterday that the ice maker and sides of the freezer were covered in ice. Cleaned out freezer and removed the ice thinking that perhaps a piece of ice had jammed causing the maker to not cut off. Did the recycle sequence and turned the ice maker back on. Next morning, the top of the ice cube tray was covered in a sheet of ice and there was ice accumulated underneath the ice maker going into the bucket. Could this be just the ice maker gone bad or something else too? We still have water dispensing in the door.

Rick, For this issue it sounds like the water valve may not be closing and causing it to overfill. You will want to check this and if this checks ok then the issue will be the icemaker.

Justin, sometimes it takes up to 24 hrs for a icemaker to cycle, even though you can move the paddle 3 times in a forced cycle mode. Make sure the on and off switch is moved to the on position as well. Check the connection where it was plugged in, sometimes they will come loose.

Hello Michael, there is a white cap roughly at the middle of the icemaker near the on indicator to the left. Once you've removed this cap you will expose the adjustment screw. Counter- clockwise will add more water while turning it clockwise will fill with less. Hope this helps!

Mary, You will want to allow the icemaker to cycle and see if there is power getting to the icemaker water valve. If there is power then first check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen and if it is not then this will be a faulty water valve. If it is then clear out the ice in the fill tube and if this happens again the water valve would need replaced.

Hello Johnny, You should check to see if the compressor is running. If not, check for voltage to the overload. You should also verify neutral to the compressor start relay. For a detailed diagnosis, please post a new question including the verified model number from the units' I.D. tag since the one provided will not come up for us as a valid model number. We will also need a few more details about the issue for an accurate diagnosis. Also, if a valid e-mail address is provided, we can send additional troubleshooting literature to aid in your repair. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
