Klingsy May 04, 2018 for Model Number GEW9200LW0 Ice maker has stopped making ice. Reset mode results in extremely slow rotation of ice removing mechanism. Power indicator light switches from solid green to flashing green. Water flows from door but not into ice maker.
1 Answer Klingsy, If the icemaker is not getting water in it then you will want to check to make sure that the there is power getting to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If this checks ok then the issue will be a faulty water valve. If there is no power then this will be a faulty icemaker. Read More...
John March 16, 2018 for Model Number GSS25JFMBWW My old ice maker had an LED on/off indicator. My question is about where the LED was on my old ice maker, there is instead a small cap with embossed arrows pointing "+" and "-", and an adjusting screw behind the cap. What's the purpose of the adjustment screw? The new ice maker part number is "WR30X10093", which replaced my old unit "WR30X10012".
1 Answer John, The manufacturer has "replaced" the original ice maker WR30X10012, with the WR30X10093 / WR30X10093 Electro Mechanical Ice Maker Kit. " Per Factory No Individual Parts Available For This Ice maker. Must Replace Ice maker. Includes Adapter Plug # Wr29x10049". " there is instead a small cap with embossed arrows pointing "+" and "-", and an adjusting screw". This upgrade is for adjusting the water level/size of the ice cubes in the ice maker. Under proper conditions(clean filter, proper water pressure-32 psi minimum, etc.) you should not need to adjust the water level. Thanks, Read More...
David February 26, 2018 for Model Number GTS22WCPBRWW My ice maker on this GE refrigerator will make ice, but after it dumps the ice it takes 16 minutes for the water to come on and refill the ice maker. I changed the water valve but no help. Is there an adjustment on the ice maker to shorten this refill time delay?
1 Answer Hello David. You will need to order and replace the icemaker in the unit. Thank you. Read More...
Mike February 24, 2018 for Model Number GSS25QSTASS Hello, My ice maker has always overfilled the bin. Haven't found any info on how the sensor/feeler arm works. I don't see it move during the "Diagnostic Mode". Is the feeler arm on the ice maker supposed to cycle back and forth in order to sense the level of ice in the bin? Thank You Mike
1 Answer Mike, There is a feeler arm that you can get that will help with this issue and will be part number WR49X10103. Read More...
Drob February 24, 2018 for Model Number GSL25JFPABS Initially there was no water being dispensed, but did not need that option. Now icemaker stopped working, although green light is on. Checked water source and filter. Checked electrical on water valve (187 ohms). Does not appear that water is getting to icemaker but lines are not frozen. Does this mean the icemaker, even though power light is on, has failed, and no water is getting to tray? In addition, tried to run diagnostic function, but it did not activate a cycle.
1 Answer DRob, With the icemaker not getting water to it you will want to check to see if the fill tube is clogged. If it is not then cycle the icemaker and see if there is 120 vac getting to the water valve. If there is 120 vac to the water valve then the water valve would most likely be the issue. If there is not 120 vac then this will most likely be a bad icemaker. Read More...
Robb February 22, 2018 for Model Number TBX18IIBQRWW We can not get ice maker to work, we are not showing voltage to solenoid or to the switches but the Refrigerator is running and cooling fine. Any ideas or troubleshooting manuals? Thanks
1 Answer Robb, With the icemaker not producing ice, if there is ice formed in the icemaker then this will most likely be an icemeker failure in which the thermostat in the icemaker may have failed. Read More...
Josh K February 12, 2018 for Model Number GSL25JFXNLB I noticed the water froze over my ice maker and it never kicked out the ice. I removed the ice maker assembly and cleaned all the ice out. I then installed it back to see if it would work. Well it did the same thing again. It froze the ice maker and the water tray going into the ice maker up solid. So it seems like the water valve isn't cutting the water off. I guess its dripping slowly, or the ice maker isn't kicking the ice out fast enough. It's not kicking out any ice but it's freezing the whole unit solid. I'm not sure which part I need to replace. What is your suggestion?
1 Answer Josh, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty water valve that is not shutting off completely. Read More...
Ray January 28, 2018 for Model Number GSH25JSRFSS I have a side by side model gsh25jsrfss, the ice maker will only work when I do the diagnostic check, it does everything fine, but it won't run a cycle on its own, is this an issue with the ice maker itself since it does run the cycle on the test or is it a different issue? Thanks
1 Answer Ray, If you have to run diagnostic then this would most likely be an issue with the icemaker itself. Read More...
John January 12, 2018 for Model Number GE ice maker WR30X10093 Can I purchase just the plastic fingers that separate & release the ice cubes? One of the fingers on my ice maker is broken and causes the ice cube in that compartment to jam the unit. The ice maker works perfectly other than this one particular piece.
1 Answer Hello John, I'm sorry but the icemaker WR30X10093 has no individual parts available from the manufacturer. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Barbara January 10, 2018 for Model Number GSHF5KGXCCWW Our GE refrigerator ice maker (part #AP4345120) has a small plastic piece that slides from on to off to control the operation of the ice maker. That piece of plastic has broken and will no longer control the arm that shuts of the ice maker. Short of replacing the entire unit, is there somewhere I can buy that part by itself? Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Barbara, Unfortunately there would be no slide that could be used for this icemaker and the icemaker would need to be replaced. Read More...
