For Ge Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly (Part Number: OEM20674845)

Dan for Model Number GE PFSS2MJYCSS

Ice maker fails to make ice. Checked line to maker from solenoid by blowing and is clear. Applied 120v to solenoid and seems to come out ok (energizes). Can get 120v to connector by switching ice maker on/off but when connected to solenoid does not seem to energize. There is a horizontal lever on the ice maker that moves horizontally back and forth, does this also raise up and down to tell when ice is full. Maybe it is stuck in the up position? Not sure why green light flashes, maybe detects some type of error or malfunction? when I switch off then on it stays lit. I do hear a noise like something is turning. I am concerned to just replace the solenoid if there is a circuit board somewhere that may be the problem.

Hello Luke. You need to check and see if the icemaker is leaking water. If so, you will need to order and replace the icemaker WR30X10093. If not, and the icemaker is over flowing, you will need to replace the water valve WR57X33326 on the unit.

Hello Edwin, When you check the valve you should receive 120vac when the icemaker gets to the part of the cycle to call for water. If at this point you are not getting power then the icemaker is not sending signal or you are loosing power between icemaker WR30X10093 and water valve.

Hello Kirk, To remove the icemaker kit you would first remove the ice bin and upper storage tray. There is a screw on the left side of the icemaker that holds it in place. Remove screw and icemaker will slide forward. There are clips on either side of the wiring harness that you lift on one side and then the other to remove.

Raymond for Model Number wr30x10093

I recently purchased an ice maker for my frezer. The original one was removed by a ge technician and i disposed of it after ordering the new model. After the new part arrived I began install and realised my freezer did not have the mounting bracket in place. I am unsure how the original was installed as i did not see its removal by the technician. Is it possibe there is another installation method or could I have disposed of the part with the original ice maker. Would it have been attached tot he ice maker?? I would think not and if so is there another part , bracket or otherwise that i can purchase to install properly? Confused!
