Oliver, You will want to check at the water valve for 120 vac getting to it when not calling for water. If there is 120 vac getting to it then either the dispenser switch is bad or the main control board is bad. If there is no power to it then the water valve is stuck open and will need to be replaced.

David, If you have no lights on the board then you will want to check the harness at the bottom of the freezer door to make sure that there are no loose or broken wires. If so then correct the wiring. If this checks ok then the main board would most likely be the issue but you would want to check to make sure that the board is sending power to the control.

Hello Rosalind. Look on the motor for a flashing green light. Count the number of flashes and see what error code is being given and this will tell you the part you need to repair the unit.

Frank, You could check the DCV at the main control board on the back of the refrigerator. The J4 connector is the low voltage power out to the dispenser board WR55X10942C Remove the wiring harness connector, and check for 12 VDC across pin 2 and pin 3 and pin 1 to pin 3 on the control board pins. If you have the voltage the main control board is not the issue. Also check the pins and the receptacles on the board and harness to make sure there are no corrosion, moisture, etc. You'll also want to remove the dispenser board, and check the J4 connector for the same voltages on the same pin numbers, this will confirm the wire harness is not the issue, and you have the proper power supply to the dispenser board. All of the parts purchased at AppliancePartsPros.com have a 365 day " no hassle" return policy, so returning unneeded parts is easy and possible.

Hello Dave, Page 46 of the manual I have shows the display removal. The instructions read as follows: The dispenser assembly consists of the interface, display board, dispenser shield, and duct door functioning parts. The dispenser interface can be removed to access the display board and the dispenser shield mounting screws. The interface is held in place by 4 tabs that hold it to the dispenser recess. To remove the interface, it is necessary to grasp the bottom lip of the interface on either side and gently pull it towards you. There are 3 wire harnesses connected to the display board. Note: The interface and display board are replaced as a complete assembly. When assembling, insert top tabs into the top of dispenser recess first, then snap the bottom into place.

Sara for Model Number GE Profile Fridge - PSS26SGRESS

The icemaker is producing ice, but the dispenser does not dispense ice or water. I have checked that the water line is not frozen, checked filter, replaced the valve in the back (that did not solve issue), and tested the switch behind the dispenser board for continuity. When the dispenser is pressed, the fridge seems to shut down for a second (lights off, fan stops), but comes on when depressed or after 2 seconds of remaining pressed. All the LEDs on the panel work when clicked (the light bulb does not). I am not sure if I need the dispenser board WR55X10415 or the main board WR55X10942? Is the issuye dispenser board, WR55X10415, but

Hello Mike, The dispenser user interface board WP2304163 would be the most likely cause of the dispenser not working. You would want to check your wiring to the board, check the board behind the dispenser bezel and make sure that the dispenser is not locked.
