Nathan for Model Number GE PSS26LSRESS When I depress the Ice dispenser lever in the freezer door nothing will dispense. The buttons on the control panel still light up and allow me to select whether I want water or ice, but nothing will come out. What is the most likely culprit for causing this problem?
Answer Nathan, The first thing to check is to make sure that the control lockout is not set. If not then the most likely cause for the issue will be the main control board. What you will want to do is a voltage test at the main control board for power to the dispenser. On the J4 connector you will want to test for voltage to and from the dispenser. Check from pin 1 to 2 for 12vdc and from 2 to 3 for 12 vdc when the dispenser lever is pushed. If there is 12vdc at both locations then the main control WR55X10942C is faulty and would need to be replaced. If there is not 12 vdc then the issue will most likely be caused by the dispenser control board WR55X10415. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 2, 2014
