April August 12, 2013 for Model Number dpsb513b0ww I need to replace the interlock switch on my GE gas dryer. I know the brown wire goes to one end but I don't see another wire for the other end. Am I missing something? Where would the other wire be coming from? Thanks
Brian N May 18, 2013 for Model Number GE model # GSD2200 When I close the door to my dishwasher and slide the latch over to lock it the dishwasher will not work. Sometimes you can wiggle the latch back and forth and it will come on but as of lately if will not do anything. Any ideas on what part I need to fix? Seems to be a switch inside that is attached to the latch that has gone bad but I do not know what it is called.
1 Answer Brian, Based on the information it sounds like the interlock switch on your unit may be faulty and need to be replaced. Read More...
Alisha February 19, 2013 for Model Number DHDSR46EG1WW I need to replace the clear insert piece that slides into the start button and I'm not sure what that part number is.
1 Answer Hello Alisha, I'm not entirely sure I understand where the part you need goes. If it is the small insert that goes into the "D" shaped hold that slides onto the start switch shaft, the part number is WH01X10106. If this is not the part you are referring to, please re-post and we will figure out what you need. This might be quicker and easier if you have an e-mail address to correspond through. Read More...
Francisco B January 12, 2013 for Model Number DJXR433EC2WW When I turn the start button on my dryer it runs and heats fine but it turns back off once I release it. Can you help me here?
1 Answer Hello Francisco, This issue would be caused by a bad centrifugal switch on the motor. The motor WE17X10010 would need to be changed out. Read More...
Ken January 02, 2013 for Model Number dx4500ge2ww The interlock switch on model dx4500ge2ww. Does the pink wire go on the common side or does the brown wire go on the common side?
1 Answer Hello Ken, I pulled the wiring diagram for your model number and I'm not sure what switch you are referring to as an interlock switch. The only two switches on your unit that have a brown wire and a pink wire is the extra care switch (in the control panel) and the idler pulley switch (at the belt idler arm in the base). Neither one of these switches are polarized so the wires can connect to either terminal and operate normally. Read More...
Ken W December 29, 2012 for Model Number dx4500ge2ww I just install interlock switch. the dryer starts when I let go of the start button the dryer stops.
1 Answer Hello Ken, The most likely cause of the unit not running is the centrifugal switch on the motor WE17X10010 has failed. When you start unit the switch will take it from the start winding to the run winding. If this does not happen as soon as you let off the start switch the dryer stalls. Read More...

Ed December 19, 2012 for Model Number Dcvh515ef0ww I replaced the front and rear bearings on my GE dryer. The motor turns through freely but when I hit the start button, the breaker pops. After looking everything over, I noticed the connector on the red side of the interlock switch, part #803 in the diagram, is arching against the bottom of the dryer. Do I need to replace the switch or could it be something more serious like the motor. How can I tell if the motors bad?
1 Answer Hello Ed, If the interlock switch WD21X10261 is arcing against the base the it is short to ground and would need to be replaced. Read More...
John S December 12, 2012 for Model Number GE GAS DRYER DBXR453GVOWW Just installed a new motor in my gas dryer and could not get it to stay on until I bypassed the interlock switch (part number 803). What does this interlock do? Do I need to replace it? THANKS
1 Answer Hello John, The interlock switch would be the motor switch on unit. If the switch does not engage then the motor will not come on or stay on. It is also like a safety for the motor. Read More...
