Caleb February 07, 2016 for Model Number GCWN4950D1WS My washer spins very slow and is not getting all of the water out. I found that if I fill the tub with hot water and run the spin cycle over it will work. I am thinking it might be a bad pump, what do you think? Thanks
1 Answer Caleb, Yes the drain pump being clogged or restricted or having a bad impeller would be the most likely cause will be a bad pump. Read More...
Stacy October 03, 2015 for Model Number ghwn4250dww My washer is spinning very slow and not completely draining. The clothes at the bottom were sitting in water. I was able to hook my shop vac up to the drain hose and remove most of the water. I took off the drain pump and it was not clogged. Could I need a new drain pump all together?
1 Answer Hello Stacy, First check between the tubs for any articles of clothing. If nothing is found, the issue is most likely the drain pump WH23X10043. Read More...
Bill July 24, 2015 for Model Number GHWN5250D0WS Top Loader The washer spins at full speed but the clothes do not spin dry. Still much too wet for the dryer. Did change the belt but the new belt did not change the wetness issue. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Bill, You will want to check the pump assembly to make sure that there is nothing restricting the water flow and make sure that the impeller is not damaged. Read More...
John K November 20, 2014 for Model Number GHWN5250D0WS When washing a disintegrating spaghetti mop the tub would not drain. I changed the cycle to 'Drain and Spin'. I heard a soft hum but the tub would not drain. I bailed out most of the water and removed the mops and other laundry and restarted the 'Drain and Spin'. It did spin but did not drain. Did I clog the pump or destroy it? How would I do either, unclog it or replace it. Thanks, John
1 Answer John, There are 2 spring clips between the main top and the front panel. You will push the spring clips on this and raise the main top. You will then remove the screws that hold the front panel in place and remove the front panel. You will want to check the drain pump for being clogged. It may need to be replaced. Read More...
Jaime August 17, 2014 for Model Number gtwn4250d1ws Washing machine leaves lots of suds on clothes and in drum. some suds are spilling out of the drum through the upper side of drum and to the bottom of washer and does not drain all the water. Leaves some water at the bottom of the drum. Already removed the drain pump and checked for debris and there was none. What do yall think it can be?
1 Answer Hello Jamie. It sounds like your using to much soap in the unit. Run some vinegar through the washer to help wash out the soap and then use half of what your normally putting in the unit. Read More...
