The Oven Sensor Kit is an OEM replacement part for GE ranges. It contains critical sensors that monitor the oven's temperature, functions, and safety features during the cooking process. An accurate and fully functioning sensor kit is essential for reliable oven performance.

Causes of a bad oven sensor kit can include failures in individual sensors due to prolonged use and heat exposure over time. Electrical issues affecting communication between sensors and the control board may also require sensor replacement.

Symptoms of a bad oven sensor kit include:

  • The oven not heating or cooling as expected
  • Inability to properly select or maintain temperature settings
  • Error codes or failure messages appearing
  • Safety features like the door lock not activating

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

For Ge Oven Sensor Kit (Part Number: OEM6071748)

Mary for Model Number GE Range & Oven JBP65B0K2BB

My broil element burned. I ordered a replacement WB44T10009. I have received and it appears to be the correct replacement. When the burned one was removed from the rear opening where the wire comes out there is another part coming out of that same area. In looking at parts on-line it looks like the sensor and it has a bracket also. Not sure how that senor bracket is screwed on. Looked at other people's question and saw one similar to my issue. Their question was can sensor bracket be screwed back in behind broil element bracket using same 2 screws? I viewed video for replacing sensor and the oven used for illustration shows sensor bracket screwed into back of oven separate from element. My oven has coming out of same opening as the broiler element inside the oven on the back wall. How is that part/bracket to be screwed back on?

Hello Deanna T. Measure sensor circuit resistance at sensor / lock switch connector (should be 1100 ohms at room temperature). Ensure each sensor lead to chassis ground resistance is infinitely high.

Hello John, You would want to check at the control board and make sure that you are getting 240 vac from bake to L1 and broil to L1. The sensor would not cause this issue.

Hello Diana, F-3 is a shorted or open sensor. This can also be the result of contamination on terminals, a pinched wire in the sensor circuit, or a cold solder joint on the control board. To test the sensor, using an ohm meter the sensor should read about 1100O at about 70°F. Be sure to tap on the sensor while testing in case of an intermittant sensor. The part number shown for this model by GE is WB23T10015.
