Jim March 02, 2018 for Model Number PLCF489CCD Will this spark module work on this model? My problem is that the igniter isn't working. The igniter is good because I tried it on another burner.
Heather January 24, 2018 for Model Number JGB695SEF1SS Front left burner will not light. I can light it with a lighter and it works good then. What could this be?
1 Answer Hello Heather, If the unit is making a clicking sound you will have a bad ignitor or ignitor wire WB18X24485, or you have lost ground the burner base. If it is not making the clicking sound, you will have a bad start switch WB18X20259. Read More...
Bl December 23, 2017 for Model Number JGP933SEF1SS I spilled water on my cooktop and the igniter continued sparking. So after, I dried out the harness switch and tried reigniting but one of the switches smoked. I ordered & replaced the harness switch but all 4 burners will not spark. I even replaced the spark module. Model JGP933SEF1SS 1. Is the part number correct or defected PN: WB18T10339. (Harness switch) 2. Why won’t all 4 burners spark? PN: WB13T10046. ( spark module) Please advise, BL
1 Answer Bl, This switch harness WB18T10339 is showing as being the correct harness for your unit. If you replaced the spark module and the spark switches you will want to check the incoming power to the unit as this will be the most likely issue. Read More...
Gerald December 05, 2017 for Model Number JGP9403ek2SS HELLO, All four of our ignitors were trying to light with out any knob turned. We had a BK80044-52 ignitor module. Was this replaced with the BK50044-52? And if so, what order do the wires from burners go? It looks different. Thanks for your help
1 Answer Gerald, In most cases the spark module would not cause the igniters to spark on their own. You will want to check the spark switches for continuity in the off position and if there is continuity then the switch is bad. Read More...
Elbert August 13, 2017 for Model Number ZGU385NSM2SS The right rear burner will not spark when the knob is turned. It does spark when I turn the other knobs (to light the other burners). Also, the light at the knob for the right rear burner lights up when any of the other burners are turned on. The ignitor does spark when I turn the other knobs but does not spark when I turn it's knob. I've replaced the ignitor and the wiring harness. No change. What are the chances it is the ignition module? Is it more likely the wire that runs from the ignition module to the burner since all the other burners are working? Or is it something at the knob? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Elbert. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the switch harness WB18X23942 is bad on the unit. Read More...
Bob April 21, 2017 for Model Number JGP-933WEC2WW Getting spark on all four burners of cooktop, but left rear will not light.( other three do ) Is this more then likely Spark Igniter ?
1 Answer Bob, You will want to pull the burner head and the burner cap and make sure that they are throughly cleaned. Also make sure that the burner can be lit with a match. If it can be and it is sparking then dirty burner will cause this. If it will not then check the orifice to make sure that it is clean and make sure that there is gas coming through the valve. Brett March 30, 2017 for Model Number jgbs80dem1ww I ordered the replacement spark module (part # AP3778816) for my stove (jgbs80dem1ww) and its different from the original. Everything I've read so far indicates the new part is compatible with the stove, but I'm unsure as to which "spark wire" goes where. The wires going to each burner on the stove are different colors. There's also no clear indication as to where the ground wire is supposed to go. While a picture of the wire placement was included with the instructions, the quality is so poor it's unusable. Is there a clear wire diagram available and where does the ground wire from the stove go? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Brett, As per the original wiring diagram on the units' tech sheet shows, the yellow will go to the right front, black to the right rear, red to the left front, blue to the left rear and white to the center burner. Read More...

George August 09, 2016 for Model Number JGP945SEK1SS I have one burner ( back right) that will not light. It will with a lighter so we have gas supply. the electronic igniter try's to spark but very intermittent. upon removal of burner I can see the spark is going out the bottom of the wire coming to the igniter and sparking on the bottom of the chassis I swapped the igniters around and it works in other location (back left) but same action on the back right burner. is this the spark module / or wire harness. I taped the wire and no bare spots in it and it still jumps to the chassis. Please advise... thanks
1 Answer Hello George. You will need to order and replace WB18T10407. Also, make sure the burner is clean on the unit. Read More...
George April 13, 2016 for Model Number JGP990SEL1SS GE Profile Cook top with DownDraft. Everything works. About once every 45 to 60 seconds the igniters spark and make a clicking sound. Not sure what part to change. Any ideas where to start? George
1 Answer Hello George. Check and make sure the spark switches are good. If so, you will need to replace the spark module on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
